It was probably lovely in its day but in need of a refurbishment. My husband said it made him think he was on the Titanic. Pool was drained on my visit which was a shame. Large breakfast selection but the coffee was undrinkable. Tasted like the urns. Rooms were small.

Outdated room, questionable shop across the streetPosted Jun 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel itself is so old, so outdated, and nothing works! We changed 5 rooms and still the wifi wasn't strong enough to reach our room. Our room was also terribly hot the whole time, it was like a furnace even though we hadn't turned the heater on! The breakfast was sub par, with only two hot food options and one of them, simple scrambled eggs, were cooked so terribly that they were always bathed in liquid and tasteless. This is not a 4 star hotel, would not recommend it.

Old Hotel with disappointing facilitiesPosted May 6, 2014
Pros: Hotel has a good location but this is all.
Cons: Hotel should be renovated as soon as possible.
I used to stay in this hotel but this was the last time! The linens were stained, the room dirty and the A/C was not working, my room was a sauna!

Very quite hotel in the middle of downtown.Posted Apr 28, 2014
Pros: Ambience, staff, location
Cons: Larger rooms?
We spent 4 nights. The hotel is near the main comercial streets: Corrientes and Florida. The staff is courteous and helpful. Breakfast were quite good. The main problem is that our room was too small.

I arrived in Beunos Aires and and wanted to choose a hotel that was conveniently located within walking distance of the city centre. Claridge Hotel is indeed within within walking distance (if you don't mind the adult shop directly opposite the hotel). For a 4* hotel this has many outdated features. The outside of the hotel looks very nice and the lobby itself is grand. My room, however, located on the sixth floor was in need of much love and attention. The toilet holder was broke and there wasn't much room to manoeuvre in the toilet as everything was close together. The buffet breakfast was limited. I tried to contact the front desk four times over two days but with no answer. The staff were helpful. The amount I paid didn't really reflect a 4* hotel nor normal it worth it. Consider living slightly out and travel into the centre as I did the night before (in canning) and was much impressed with the 4* there at half the price. Would avoid if you can, adequate for a short stopover.

Nice hotel to feel how it once was a majestic one.Posted Apr 9, 2014
Pros: The restaurant, Bar and overall feel
Cons: Change carpets, beds, bedcovers and furniture in the rooms. Add more routers so that wifi gets to the rooms.
Location: Great location, Florida, La Valle shopping and restaurants great. Very close to plaza de Mayo Casa Rosada and the Cathedral.
Good location half block from Florida. Nice overall but many things old and even smelly. The restaurant with included breakfast very very nice, delicious buffet breakfast. Good for the price paid but make sure you get a good room, I saw some that were terrible, all walls stained with damp and old carpets. We got a good room on the 10th floor.

Central Hotel in Buenos Aires.Posted Mar 23, 2014
Hotel was average. Unpleasant do-odorising smell in hotel and in room. Room in need of some attention/renovation (plumbing). No concierge service.

Aeromexico lost my luggage. I especially appreciated the efforts of the men at the front desk to help me cope with this problem.
