Terrible experience. Run away!!!!!
Posted Jan 3, 2013
Pros: The lobby
Cons: Attention, service sucks!!!!
I had a very bad experience at this hotel. To begin I paíd for a room with two queen beds, and they gave me one with two double beds, wich are significantly smaller. No one cares, the cleaning of the rooms is very bad, no valet parking, no help with the luggage, really is a 5 star hotel, with a 2 star service. I will never stay veré again, don't let the building fool you.

Reasonable walking distance to Recoleta, Puerto Madero, Plaza de Mayo sights. Staff was very helpful with answering a variety of questions and assisting with obtaining information. Buffet breakfast was very expensive.

Great location and accommodations
Posted Jan 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel is a reasonable walk to the Recoleta area, the Puerto Madero area, and the Plaza de Mayo. The staff was very helpful and spoke wonderful English. The breakfast buffet is very expensive, but the food in the lounge area was delicious and more reasonably priced.

A good choice in central Buenos Aires
Posted Jan 27, 2012
Well situated, this hotel rates as somewhere between "grand" and " a bit old-fashioned". Strangely, its restaurant does not serve dinners. (We avoided the breakfasts which we heard were overpriced. There are good cafes/neighbourhood restaurants nearby, 1 long block to the left, Liber Cafe, and several up the street just to the right of the hotel.) The interior garden is a treat. The staff were particularly pleasant, if not very well equipped to arrange tours/provide detailed tourist advice.

great hotel for tourists

Pros: hotel staff, gardens, big room
Cons: charge for coffee in room
Location: okay
The hotel itself was comfortable and clean. However, it was the staff that made the difference in my stay. They were extremely helpful, couteous, and knowledgeable. They helped book my city tour, called taxis for me, booked my tango show, etc. When I couldn't log on to the internet to write emails (the instructions were in Spanish), they sent someone up to the business center to help me....all done with a smile. The location was good - although it was more on the fringe of the Recoleta area - but still within walking distance to shops, attractions, etc. If there was one negative it was that I was not informed that the coffee in the room was considered a "mini bar" item and therefore was charged for the coffee. Coming from the states, coffee in the room is free. There was a sign by the water that there was a charge; therefore, there should be a sign which states you are charged for coffee in the room. Not a big issue - it would have just been nice to have known that. Again, my stay was excellent thanks to the hotel staff.

Understaffed
Posted Jan 27, 2012
Pros: Rooms are spacious and comfortables.
Cons: It is too close to a growing famous slum.
Location: Location is good in a not too crowded area.
The hotel is definitely understaffed. The existing staff cannot satisfy the guests in timely manner and that’s why you have to wait up to s5’ to half an hour for basic inquiries or to someone to take your order at the restaurant. I don’t think this hotel qualifies for a 4 star anymore. The amenities in the bathrooms are not in accordance with the alleged category. It is definitely overpriced for what it really is.
