“Let me make it easier for you to pick a BA hotel”

This was my first stay at Hotel Emperador, but it won't be my last. The staff -- with the exception of the smileless front doormen -- was genuinely friendly and wonderfully capable. The housekeeping staff was quickly responsive to a couple of little requests and the reception/front desk people was helpful and efficient with excellent English. While the hotel is located on a busy street, it's convenient to most neighborhoods visitors would want to see.

“great hotel for tourists”

The hotel itself was comfortable and clean. However, it was the staff that made the difference in my stay. They were extremely helpful, couteous, and knowledgeable. They helped book my city tour, called taxis for me, booked my tango show, etc. When I couldn't log on to the internet to write emails (the instructions were in Spanish), they sent someone up to the business center to help me....all done with a smile. The location was good - although it was more on the fringe of the Recoleta area - but still within walking distance to shops, attractions, etc. If there was one negative it was that I was not informed that the coffee in the room was considered a "mini bar" item and therefore was charged for the coffee. Coming from the states, coffee in the room is free. There was a sign by the water that there was a charge; therefore, there should be a sign which states you are charged for coffee in the room. Not a big issue - it would have just been nice to have known that. Again, my stay was excellent thanks to the hotel staff.

“Best hotel in Argentina”

The hotel was elegant. The customer service wonderful, warm and very friendly. The full free breakfast was a big plus to getting our day started in BA. We even got to meet some of the footbal (soccer) players as they stay in this hotel the nite before a game. How about this! Palermo from the BOCA Team posed with my husband and me for a picture and the next day he scored 3 goals and won the game...GOOOAL! We will always stay at the Emperador Hotel if we go back to BA again. And I hope we do go back soon.

“An excelent hotel in Bs As”

The room, the staff, everything was axcelent at the hotel... . The location is good, walking distance from Patio Bullrich ( may be the most elegant shopping center in Bs As) and also from Santa Fe street and Plaza San Martin ( restaurantes, shopping, etc). Really a very good deal, a five stars hotel.

“A good choice in central Buenos Aires”

Well situated, this hotel rates as somewhere between "grand" and " a bit old-fashioned". Strangely, its restaurant does not serve dinners. (We avoided the breakfasts which we heard were overpriced. There are good cafes/neighbourhood restaurants nearby, 1 long block to the left, Liber Cafe, and several up the street just to the right of the hotel.) The interior garden is a treat. The staff were particularly pleasant, if not very well equipped to arrange tours/provide detailed tourist advice.

“Service very good but sometimes the entrance is full of tourists checking in.”

The afternoon tea is great! Breakfast room is a bit impersonal. Otherwise service is excellent for the price and relative to other 4 star hotels in the area.

“Wonderful Hotel but prices were too high for water, food, wifi, etc.”

The hotel is in a good location, has good service and we liked our room. But, we could not use wifi there because it was too expensive. We could not buy bottled water there because it was too expensive. We could not make local calls there because it was too expensive. We could not eat there because it was too expensive. The excursions were worth the price and service was good. If you stay there, leave the hotel to eat and drink.
