“Very nice hotel”

My wife and I were very impressed and satisfied by the hotel. Our only complaint was that the heating is central and in August the rooms were kept too hot. This necessitated opening the windows, which allowed intense street noise into the room.

“It was a great hotel five years ago.”

In the paste for sure it was a 4 star hotel, but not any more. Everything was old. There were broken doors in our room. The towels were with holes and there were what appears to be blood stains in the cover of the bed. It needs a lot of maintenance that they are not giving. But Buenos Aires was a good experience

“Will never go back again”

The hotel is far of what it was when opened.a few years ago. Now is dirty , the service is poor , the WC was broken , aisles on second floor had sewage odor.. Breakfast extremely poor,etc

“Buenos Aires at its best!”

Esplendor de Buenos Aires Hotel is perfectly located, one block from Florida St. and two blocks from Plaza San Martin. Good breakfast buffet, excellent, excellent, excellent staff. The staff are well educated and fluent in English, Portuguese, Italian, and a few more. They can help you with tickets, cars, taxis, tours, they keep your bags for a few days if you are flying around Argentina and coming back. A very good choice, nearby excellent restaurants.

“Good Location in Buenos Aires”

The hotel is very well located in terms of many of the major attractions in Buenos Aires. It is a reasonable walk to many major sights, the subway, shopping, the Retiro Train Station, the international ferry and other neighborhoods. The hotel is "hip" but not in an intimidating way. The staff is young, pleasant and helpful. The hotel is a bit shop worn and could use a bit of freshening up. The breakfast is basic but reasonably good. The restaurant is quite beautifully designed. All in all a good value for the location and amenities

The Puerto Madera neighbor hood is a new development with lots of good restaurants

Must see

On Thursday afternoons at 3:30 the Madres of the Plaza de Mayo march in their weekly demonstration for justice. This is a historic experience.

“Very satisfied”

The hotel is very good. Very slick modern design & extremely helpful staff. Location of the hotel is excellent, it is on the good side of Florida street and as such of prime location. My wife and I stayed there for a week and were very satisfied. Room cleanliness sometimes required some remarks in order to get it up to expectations, however this is a minor complaint.

“Fun, artsy boutique in central BA”

My wife and I are already planning our next trip to Buenos Aires, and we'll be staying at the Esplendor again. If you are familiar at all with the 21c Museum-Hotel in Louisville, KY, then I need tell you nothing more than the Esplendor is the BA equivalent of that experience, but with much better shopping available nearby. Rather than go on about the rooms (comfortable, modern, minimalist, clean, but neither stark nor Starck), the staff (young, friendly, fluent) or the location (central to everything you might want to see in BA), allow me to share this: When we first checked in, the two couples we were traveling with described the rooms and hotel overall as "fine," which really disappointed me and my wife (we liked it immediately), but this was their first time staying in a boutique hotel and they really didn't know what to make of it. By the end of our brief stay (4 days, 3 nights), they couldn't stop raving about the Esplendor.

Area recommendations

Every neighborhood in Buenos Aires deserves to be visited at least once. There is a place for everyone.

“MicroCenter Hotel”
