Great hotel close to Downtown

Posted Jul 13, 2014
Pros: Great location & very helpful staff
Cons: Soundproofing of rooms, a bit noisy at times from both outside & other rooms in hotel.
Location: Very central to downtown shopping & eateries nearby.
Nice clean apartment with very helpful & friendly staff centrally situated in downtown area.Kitchen not very well equipped but not really needed as good breakfast included & plenty of reasonably priced eateries nearby.

Pros: location
We stayed at the Fertilia for one week while we explored BA. The staff were very friendly and helpful - good English. We were happy with our room - basic, but we like to be able to cook. Able to get groceries within a couple of blocks. We are a couple in our mid-sixties and were able to walk to most of the districts from our hotel - only took the subte(subway) and bus once each. We thought one of the best parts of our week was the Borges Theater which was only 3 blocks away at the Galerias shopping centre. They had a different production every evening - tango shows, ballet, etc. for about $100 - $150 pesos each ( $16 - 24 CAD). We really enjoyed their excellent productions. We only had one bad experience - and this was not related to the hotel. We were walking down a street and thought we had been hit with bird poo. A very kind lady offered us some tissue and helped to clean us up. In doing so she managed to steal our small Acer travel computer without us realizing it until we got back to our hotel. A very talented pick pocket! We even thanked her for her help! Apparently this scam happens quite often in BA - so be warned. Don't accept help from anyone!

This was the perfect place for all our needs

We were so pleasantly surprised by this little place. It ended up being walking distance from the ferry and to shopping and other attractions. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and modern. It was quiet. The staff were so helpful on everything you can imagine and even helped me get an adapter for my phone charger. All this for a great price. I would definitely stay there again.

Good value, good location

Posted Jan 8, 2014
Pros: Spacious room, quite clean (with a few potential improvements), great staff, decent breakfast, location was good, for the most part
Cons: Since it's an apart-hotel, a little dining table would have been nice. A bigger fridge, so we could store more.
Location: Reconquista (lots of restaurant choices) Galeria Pacifico Florida (shopping)

Pros: central location, although we did not feel too safe outside at night
Cons: cooking facilities .Although advertised as an APARTMENT, it was obvious it is meant for people that ate all their meals out
Location: not in a great neighborhood, but in a good central location, we could walk to most areas of interest to us during the day

Close in and surprisingly roomy room

Especially for the price, Fertilia was everything we could want. Room as big as those much more expensive. Well equipped, modern/updated fixtures. Convenient to have a balcony. Continental breakfast was what you'd expect and lovely to have a big patio off the breakfast area. All personnel were friendly and helpful - from arranging a remise to storing luggage in a locked area after we checked out. Variable English proficiency, but we didn't really need that. We had a lower floor on the street side that was darker and not with any kind of view, but that's what we figured would be the case on that narrow street. Even so it wasn't very noisy except during rush hours and sometimes during the day, as the street backs up with traffic quite regularly, which does slow down how quickly cabs can get there. For getting to Puerto Madero or Plaza de Mayo or the subway stops, you can pretty easily walk so that's relevant only for trips to the airports or further away not subway accessible.

Great little hotel

Great little hotel in Buenos Aires. The staff are so friendly and helpful - there are enough staff who speak English for the language not to be a problem, even though this is not an international chain. The rooms are large and the bathroom and shower are good. The breakfast is basic but perfectly adequate. A couple of downsides - there is a fridge, microwave and hob in the room, with full crockery and cutlery, but no utensils and no kettle. I asked for a kettle and was brought a casserole pot. When I said that wasn't right and sent it back, I was then brought a jug. The other downside, but this is now a very common problem in hotels throughout the world, is we had a double but in reality, it was 2 singles pushed together - and they were of different heights. The bedside lamps were positioned on the wall for a twin room set-up, so we had to get out of bed to turn the bedside lights off. The linen is slightly prickly. However, I just wore leggings and t-shirt in bed and the linen was no longer prickly on my skin. Considering this hotel was a quarter of the price of the Holiday Inn a few yards away, including breakfast, and I had to book 4 rooms for 12 nights each, and this hotel is in a perfect location right on the edge of Puerto Madero, and a 20 minute walk to the Hilton where our conference was being held, then this hotel is exceptional value for money.

Good place to satay. Close to Calle Florida, and is sorrounded with all that you need. Kitchenette, and you can ask x some implements to be more confortable. Is lacking of luxury, but is enough. Staff very committed to help you. Breakfast( continental) medium level.
