It was really a nice surprise to find this Hotel, it's exactly what the tourists need, must of the places are near

“Good Hotel for stay a short time”

If you are planning to go 3 or 4 days to Buenos Aires this is a good hotel to stay, the location is very good, quite close to the turistic places. With just a few minutes of walking you can go to Plaza de Mayo, Florida Street and Puerto Madero. 9 de Julio AV and the obelisc are just in the corner and a few steps from the hotel. The Staff of the hotel are very friendly and helpful ask them for the city tour and the tango show.

“Adequate Hotel, good location!”

The De La Paix is a 2 star hotel, so don't expect too much! The reception area looks fine and is probably the newest part of the hotel. Our room was at first glance a bit depressing as the soft furnishings are all in desperate need of renewing, the window in the room just opens onto a dark backyard, so it's best to leave the curtains closed at all times. Having said that the room was of adequate size and was kept clean, air-co was working properly, there was a fridge, hair-dryer and TV. No in-room safe, but safety deposit box was available f.o.c. downstairs. There's also a computer in reception area, should you need to check emails. Breakfast was unexpectedly included and there was enough choice. In conclusion - you get what you pay for and if you're in any way, shape or form fussy, need your creature comforts or like to spend an afternoon relaxing in your room, then this hotel is not for you!! If you're looking for a base from where to explore this great city, then give it a go. We stayed 8 nights and would certainly go back to this hotel as it's in a good location. Eateries on the doorstep and a supermarket just across the main road (9 de Julio).Only a 15 min walk to the Plaza de Mayo, Casa Rosada, Cabildo, Cafe Tortoni with Puerto Madero area immediately behind.

“Not impressed”

Service staff attitude varies a lot form one staff member to another. A few of them were pretty rude with guests. Rooms have a nice space, air conditioning worked great and silently. Rugs were old and a little humid, will create some problems to allergic persons. Breakfast it s not very good, but will get you at least started. I don t thinks there s a room with a nice view in the whole hotel. The best features were price and very convenient location.
