“Central location”

Hotel is centrally located and the cemetery, the arts market, and restaurants are within easy walking distance. The view is great.

“Fair price, great localtion, poor service”

The neighborhood is great !!! you can walk safe anytime, the restaurants are very good. The hotel is very good. My only concern was the hotel restaurant where I dont like the food and the room service that always delays when I ask something during my stay.

“Great location. I'll go back for sure.”

The hotel location is the best. Close to many points of interest, and the Recoleta's great resturants... The rooms need to be renewed very bad: they are huge, but there's almost no furniture. For that reason, the rooms don't seem to be cozy at all. Good breakfast, good price, attendants are very kind. Forget about the room and enjoy BsAs as much as you can.

“Etoile- a real gem in the Recoleta neighborhood!”

The Etoile Hotel staff is very nice, friendly and professional. I was traveling with my sister and ended up staying 8 days... in 3 different types of rooms. The standard room with 2 queen beds is the best- large room, nice windows, and big balcony. The executive king-bed room is very large (unusually large), so perfect for a couple who is traveling with their kids who can sleep on cots. The smallest room really is small, made smaller with big columns in the middle of the room and two twin beds. The breakfast is good with coffee, pastries, yogurts, milk and cereal, and eggs. The hours are decent as well, 7-10am during the week and 7-10:30 during the weekend. The pool upstairs on the 14th floor is a real secret with a great view of the Recoleta area and the bay. It is covered during the winter and during inclement weather during the summer. So, you can still swim during the summer even if storms come up. The lifting and cardio machines are old and in need of replacement. The internet in the room costs extra ($10/day) but is very fast, and we found worthwhile as the two computers in the lobby available were frequently being used. The hotel location is fabulous, opening right onto the plaza across from the Recoleta Cemetary. There are many good restaurants and upscale boutiques nearby. The cost was very reasonable for the type of hotel and location.

“Okay hotel.”

Very dated rooms. Carpet was stained big time. Bed was comfortable. Shower was moldy and bathroom very dated. Cracked sink. Lobby and staff were good. Pool area needs work. They are missing out on a great rooftop bar, it is closed and needs a lot of work. Location was excellent.

“Would Not Stay Again”

While this hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of shops, restaurants and the Recoleta Cemetery, I was not impressed with the room or the service. The breakfast was nothing special, but then again it's free, so what can you expect. The room that we stayed in was not as clean as I would expect from a large 3 1/2 star hotel. Being so close to the cemetery was also somewhat creepy. The hotel does offer free internet use which is nice when you are traveling abroad and have no cell phone service. If I were to travel to Buenos Aires again, I would splurge and stay at the Hotel Alvear a few blocks away. If you do stay at Hotel Etoile, do not miss having a meal or coffee at the Cafe Biela right down the street.

“Not the best !!”

Great location and I think the food was okay. The internet was very weak and slow, the room was bad. Carpet was worn out and badly stained the bed was leaning to one side. We moved and did much better for the same price.
