立地は便利、フタッフはとても親切です

Posted May 24, 2015
Pros: スタッフが親切
Location:

South American Gem

We enjoyed a two-night stay at the Moreno Hotel. Received a complimentary upgrade. The restaurant next door, Aldo's, was also a highlight. Large clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Within walking distance of Puerto Madero and other sights. Spotty iWi-Fi nternet at times, but overall, this is a great bargain.

Convenient and comfortable

Posted Apr 23, 2015
Our twin bed room was air conditioned, huge, clean, quiet and comfortable. The bathroom had a large walk in shower. The breakfast room was bright and airy and gave access to an attractive rooftop terrace that could be accessed all day and provided beautiful views of Buenos Aires especially the sunsets. I also appreciated having Aldo's next door. The food and wine selection was great and they provide continuous service from 11 a.m. until late evening - good for someone like me who doesn't want to wait until 8:30 or 9:00 p.m. to start eating dinner. There's a jazz club downstairs. I would absolutely stay here again.

Lovely hotel!

Posted Apr 5, 2015
Pros: relaxed yet professional vibe to the hotel, staff are very friendly.
Location: Hippy Market, very close to Plaza de Mayo
This is a beautiful hotel, just a stone throw away from San Telmo. The weekly Hippy Fair is at the top of it's road. Spacious, clean rooms. My first impression of the location was sketchy but definitely a good area.

Super location, massive room, authentic.

Posted Mar 17, 2015
The hotel is a beautiful renovated Art Deco building located in the somewhat crumbly but absolutely charming San Telmo neighborhood. Our room, while a little worn, was HUGE and very comfortable. It was more like an apartment than a hotel room. We had a lovely view of the adjacent church cupola from our window. The room was very clean and came with a mini-bar that we used the extra space to store some snacks, beer and bottled water. The shower had superb water pressure and the AC was as efficient as any I've experienced. The old cage-style elevator is not only charming but remarkably efficient! The buffet breakfast was great with more than enough choices to enjoy and to fill you (unless you are too picky). It never felt busy and we met some nice fellow travelers on the roof top balcony. The hotel is not overly fancy and not what I'd call "luxury" but it was great value for what we paid and I'd stay there if/when I get to visit BA. again.

Disappointed.

Posted Mar 17, 2015
Pros: The hotel staff at the front desk was excellent! Breakfast upstairs was good.
Cons: Room was clean but beginning to look worn. Entrance off the street was usually manned but when it wasn't it was a little scary.
Location: Hotel is within walking distance of the Plaza de Mayo and Florida Street but the hotel itself is located far enough away in a not so nice area.
We stayed 2 nights. We're from NYC originally so we are aware of big city danger spots. We didn't walk anywhere around the hotel after dark concerned about crime. The sidewalks ALL around the hotel were really hazardous, big chunks of missing stones everywhere. This hotel was touted as being in a Bohemian artsy area because it is in San Telmo, we found it anything but that. Aldo's, the restaurant, was not a good experience. The service was okay, the food not good, we were billed higher than menu prices and they added a cubierto charge of 11%. We would normally leave 20-25% tip but didn't leave anything. We took a city tour recommended by the hotel. The woman met us outside the hotel and we had to fast walk 3-4 blocks to the shuttle bus. We wasted over 2 hours picking other people up at various corners around the city before the tour began. The tour was supposed to be in English but wasn't so we didn't know what was going on. She dropped us off more than a mile from our hotel and we had no idea where we were. It was late, getting dark and we were nervous. Cab drivers soaked us everywhere around the city.

Hidden Gem

Posted Mar 15, 2015
Pros: The room was spacious with an easy access walk in shower. The 1920's décor-tiles, elevators and stained glass windows are gorgeous. Helpful staff.
Cons: Provision of English breakfast tea would be appreciated.
Location: San Telmo market Sunday morning, Plaza de Mayo square nearby. Great restaurants!
Having found the hotel-make sure you know the full address as Moreno is a very long street-we were thrilled to be in such a lovely location. The staff were very helpful, the room spacious, the décor attractive. It was easy to follow the grid system of streets so sight seeing was easy to plan. Breakfast on the rooftop was lovely even if the view isn't that great!

Relaxing at Moreno Hotel

Posted Feb 24, 2015 on Hotels.com
Moreno Hotel is situated on a narrow side street at the edge of San Telmo. When you see the street, you'll think you've made a mistake. But once inside the entryway, you'll be amazed. The walls are covered in beautiful tiles and the elevator/lift is incredibly antique. You have to open and close the folding doors yourself. Please close them when you leave the elevator as it won't work for anyone if a single door is open, breaking the security circuit. Stained glass decorates the windows in the stairwell surrounding the elevators. The Very Large rooms are incredibly comfortable and definitely live up to the Very Large size description. Breakfast at the rooftop cafe/patio is very nice and so is being able to go up after dark and see the city lights of Buenos Aires. The hotel is a little slice of paradise in a bustling city. Despite being on a strange little street, the hotel is very close to everything you want to see. Only a few blocks from Puerto Padero and Plaza de Mayo, museums, restaurants, and cafes.

Great Downtown location

Posted Feb 15, 2015
Pros: everything
Everything was great. Beautiful rooftop breakfasts. Close to subway. Great location downtown. Attached restaurant was one of the best in the city for wines. Staff was especially helpful.
