“Great Neighborhood”

“Can't wait to go back!”

This is the best hotel that I have been. The staff and the overall service can be classified as five star. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff are very customer service oriented. The hotel location is a little far for the subte entrance but this was not a big issue because I enjoyed to walk. The neighborhoo is safe and there are many good restaurants at walking distance. I am a frequent traveller and definitly the difference of this hotel of others is the excellent staff service.

Area recommendations

Buenos Aires is a wonderful city. There are many places to go but not to be miss dance tango in Caminito!

“Great service”

The own is in a nice quiet location, close to restaurants. It's about a 10 minute walk to Plaza Serrano and around the corner from a great bus stop. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating. The rooms are bright and clean.

“Best service in Buenos Aires”

This is a great little boutique hotel about 3 blocks away from the heart of Palermo Hollywood and a mile or so from Palermo Soho. Their biggest selling point is the phenomenal service - all of their staff is attentive without hovering and goes out of their way to do all kinds of great little things, all of which make you feel like they really want to please you. Mercedes, in particular, stood out to us. PROS: -Incredible staff -Spacious rooms with fun design and all the amenities you expect, including some you don't such as a stereo, flip flops and windows that open -Comfortable furniture -Computers for guest use, including a printer -Breakfast to order -Hotel bar, that doubles as a night lounge for cocktails, etc. -Connected art gallery -Location -Only a few rooms (3 or less, I think) per floor -Excellent price / value ratio CONS -Room lighting is for ambience and isn't functional for reading or doing anything in the bathroom (shaving, makeup, etc.) -Could only book a junior suite with two beds - the larger full suites were king bed only -Mold in the shower, which was also weak -Hallways painted black and have these motion sensor lights that go off after about 45 seconds, leaving you in the pitch black until the elevator comes or you manage to activate the motion sensor -nightclub across the street meant zero sleep on Friday and Saturday nights

Area recommendations

Palermo Viejo was my favorite -- we also stayed in Recoleta, which was too quiet for our tastes. Palermo Viejo is divided into Hollywood and Soho -- I like Hollywood better because its quieter. Palermo proper is also nice. These areas all have lots of green spaces, restaurants, bars/clubs, cafes, shops, and several museums. It's just a hip area and removed from the chaos of Microcenter and Congresso areas.

-MALBA (just be prepared for very rude staff) -Museo Evita -Museo Bellas Artes -Markets (San Telmo, La Boca, Recoleta, and Palermo Soho all have them on weekends) -La Caminita and Fundacion Proa Gallery in La Boca -Boca Juniors soccer game -Recoleta Cemetary -Shopping in Palermo Soho -Avenida 9 de Julio (widest avenue in the world)

“BEST OPTION IN TOWN”

This is the best option in town. Ever! Nice clean accommodations, near of a fantastic choice of restaurants, quiet and safe place to walk around. Great staff, very polite and helpful. Highly recommended!

Walk around the hotel, discovering Palermo Hollywood's best restaurants. Have a seat to enjoy a glass of wine. Take a look on the neighbor Palermo Soho and its design and furniture shops. Amazing place! Take the Train de La Costa (at Maipu Avenue, Olivos) go to the final station (Tigre) take a boat for an unforgetable ride in the 'Delta do Rio Tigre'. Returning to the city, stop at Marina Nueva station to have a cup of tea with a delicious apple pie.

“Awesome hotel in BsAs”

I loved the Own Hotel - even though I don't particularly feel a need to go back to BsAs, I would totally consider it, just to stay at the Own. A friend & I spent a couple of weeks in Argentina around NYE - We came & went from BsAs and stayed at the Own a couple of times. Everyone who works there was great. The staff is young & vibrant - they gave great suggestions about what to do (and where to shop); they made sure we had everything we needed and even helped us arrange bus tickets to head out to the coast. The Own is really well located - there's lots to do in Palermo Hollywood; it's pretty much just across the street from Palermo Soho; and it's an easy walk to the Subte. The room was bright & clean - and I loved the random assortments of chocolates we got every day.

Area recommendations

Too many people stay downtown or in San Telmo -- Palermo is definitely the way to go.

“Cosy, clean and cute”

My husband and I stayed for 7 nights at this lovely boutique hotel. The staff were extremely helpful an nice. The room was very comfortable. Everything was renovated and all the electronics (TV, heater/cooler,etc) were brand new. The sheets did not reek with chemical and bleach smell and were very soft and clean. In fact cleaner than the "5 star" hotel we had stayed in before traveling to BA. The continental breakfast was very nice and I loved the luxury of being able to have it till noon. Overall, it felt like home and I would definitely recommend it. The only minor issue was that we didn't have CNN or BBC in English but the free in-room high-speed Internet service compensated for it. They also left us little candies, chocolate bars and water bottles everyday, which I thought was a very nice gesture. Highly recommended.

Area recommendations

Palermo is great for dining specially at night time. It has many high end restaurants although the neighborhood is old and the Graphitee on the wall is misleading at first. Ricoletta is a clean/new/fashionable neighborhood but not as interesting as Palermo.

“Feels like Home”

From the moment I arrived early on a Sunday morning the staff was very helpful and accommodating. Cecilia and Mercedes were very attentive in making sure i was as comfortable as possible until the person in my room had checked out. Even after i was in my very large and modern room with an outstanding Bed that I later found out was covered in a high thread count material, a 32" LCD and sound sytstem with DVD , I received a call from the staff I spent the morning with unrequested to remind me that the Final of the world cup was starting because they knew I didn't want to miss it and was tired from my trip since I dont want to guess how much the thread count on the bed linens was for fear of doing it an injustice, that's how great it felt. Don"t let the neighborhood and the outside fool you. It's a good part of town and central to Buenos aires wonderful parks and Restaurants. . In short this felt like home. Try the La Cabrera restaurant just a few blocks down the road. The place was outstanding. The breakfast at the hotel was freshly prepared every morning and served in the small but cozy lobby, It wasn't tons of food but well presented and done with great care. They even had the breakfast sent up to me one morning when they knew i was working and could not make it down. I travel all over Latin America and often feel as if the hotels i'm in would rather me leave as soon as possible, but this hotel made me feel as if i was really their number one priority.

“well deserved good reputation”

My visit to OWN Palermo Hollywood was combined business-pleasure weekend in Buenas Aires. The reservation was registered correctly, staff very helpful and professional. The small size of the hotel meant service felt personal. There are innumberable restaurants within walking distance. the subway (Subte) is a short taxi ride (15 minutes walk). I would stay there again.

“Nice boutique hotel, excelent staff!”

Excelent service, hotel staff was great! Palermo is a nice location, walking distance you will find cafes, restaurants, shops, art stores etc., the hotel has a nice decore, however, the bathrooms are so inconvenient!
