Buenos Aires hotel

Posted May 31, 2014
The hotel is a nice hotel in the area. The area is Palermo and has a number of very good hotels, but not that many in walking distance.

Wouldn't recommend it

Not very warm people. Need some major attitude adjustments with a particular receptionist. No help with bags or even an offer to do so. Wasn't impressed.

Business Trip to Buenos Aires

Posted May 26, 2013
Pros: The staff were great. Room was spacious.
Cons: Soundproofing between rooms could be improved. TV and conversation from the next room were clearly audible.
Location: Near busy Santa Fe Avenue. Mini-market, greengrocer, shops all within walking distance. The nice Palermo restaurants are 10-15 minutes on foot away.
Good location for a base in Buenos Aires. Metro station is a 5 minute walk away. The "touristy" part of Palermos is 2 stops on the metro. And the "trendy" part of Palermo is 10-15 minutes on foot. Palermo is a large area and while I had no problems with the location, I can see why some people have written some mixed reviews for this hotel. The nearby Santa Fe Avenue is busy during most of the day but the area is safe. Possibly not the best location for a tourist/sighsteeing visit. If you want to pay taxis/car services with credit cards, best to research beforehand. The biggest downside is the shower - I tried everything to make sure the swinging door would seal properly but the bathroom floor would always get wet.

Good hotel

This is a good hotel. It is not very fancy or posh, but it is quite comfortable. The service is good for Argentine standards. The breakfast is not bad. I really like that the room has a mini fridge, microwave, and 2 stove burners (you have to request to have maintenance open the stove if you want to use it.) The placement of this hotel is very convenient- you can easily walk to lots of attractions such as the Japanese garden, Plaza Serrano, and cool Palermo restaurants.

Palermo suite

Posted Dec 10, 2012 on Hotels.com
-Staff: very helpful and polite / Location: Not on the best side of Palermo Soho. the hotel is just off a very busy avenue and opposite a car park. since there is no double glazing and that Buenos Aires does not sleep at night it can be quite noisy
