Comfortable hotel in old San TelmoPosted Oct 26, 2013
This hotel looks nothing from the street, but it is a typical old immigrant patio-style building that is much larger than it looks. It has been beautifully renovated, with comfortable rooms and excellent facilities, including a lovely library, and a rooftop swimming pool. If you are interested in the 'old' Buenos Aires it is well located, a short walk from excellent restaurants and bars, Plaza Dorrego, Plaza Mayo, and the nearest metro station. It's about 15-20 minutes to Plaza San Martin and the main shopping area. Although the San Telmo area looks a little rough, we felt completely safe walking around, and everyone we met in the streets were friendly and helpful. The staff spoke excellent English and were very helpful. I highly recommend this hotel, and I'm a very experienced international traveller.

Staff outstanding--location suspectPosted Mar 30, 2013
Pros: The patios were serene and away from any conjestion
Location: San Telmo has some rougher looking areas and this hotel appeared to be in one of them. Numerous Hostels were in the immediate area
The location of thios hotel is the only neagtive> One does not get a very safe feeling in this neighborhood (street) but the satff was very kind and helpful.

Nice Boutique HotelPosted Feb 21, 2013
Pros: Breakfast was good. Patios very nice for lounging around.
Cons: Lack of storage space.
Location: Right in San Telmo, 30 metres from Indepencia Avenue, near the Sunday Flea Market and Subte.
The only drawback was the lack of storage space. There was no dresser as such, no drawers anywhere. No place for toiletries, or shelves in night tables. Otherwise a very nice place. The pool was only 4 feet deep, but refreshing. The staff were very helpful and kind. Highly recommended for those that travel light.
Definitely a good choicePosted Jan 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed here before our trip to Brazil and then returned. I can honestly say it was like coming home. This is a clean and comfortable hotel, with interesting artifacts dotted everywhere, good and free wifi, a pool, places to sit and unwind... The highlights were the friendly and helpful staff and the breakfast. It was not a lavish breakfast with massives of choices. But what was offered was really good and healthy: fresh orange juice, the best banana bread ever, great cream cheese, ham and cheese, pastries, fruits and fruit salads, granola etc - a much better version of the standard fare you can expect in S. Americia. The staff really helped us. We could not speak Spanish, so they booked places for us, called taxis, pre-booked our plane seats online, drew maps, gave us fantastic directions to places and so on. We have stayed at many hotels in our time, but we really found the staff here exceptional, especially the young men on duty at night. Recolleta and Palermo Soho also look like great areas to stay in, but I would go back to Patios because of the staff.

An oasis in the heart of the cityPosted Dec 9, 2012
Pros: The staff were really friendly and helpful and the hotel itself is lovely
Location: A short walk to Dorrego Square and the heart of San Telmo
The hotel is an oasis within a really busy city. Its location in San Telmo is fantastic and it provides a base for exploring the whole of Buenos Aires. The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful, and the ambience of the hotel is fantastic. It is also great value for money.
In the old part of town, great amenitiesPosted Nov 24, 2012 on Hotels.com
This hotel has outdoor space near each room, so you have the feeling of having your own patio for relaxation. Plus a nice roof top pool and lounge area. The rooms are small, but very well appointed. The architecture of the structure (several old buildings joined together) is part of the real charm of the place. Value for money, can't be beat. Would stay there again.

Very pleasant stayPosted Aug 23, 2012
Pros: Staff, location and well appointed.
Location: Location is very good being right next to the San Telmo district where there are lots of good bars and restaurants.
This small family run hotel is well appointed in an area close to street tango, Sunday Flea Market and many good restaurants. The staff are very friendly and helpful and two brothers who are owner partners of the hotel took my colleague for a day's sailing. This hotel has the personal touch and is a far cry from the larger branded hotels. I would recommend this hotel to all travelers and will definitely stay here again when next in Buenos Aries.
Wonderful hotel, great locationPosted Aug 2, 2012 on Hotels.com
I was so glad to stumble upon this hotel when planning my trip to Buenos Aires. The room was super comfortable, shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The staff was friendly and helpful (and English speaking, if that's a concern), the breakfast was great. There is free wifi throughout the hotel and a comfy little lounge area where you can sit and read. San Telmo is a really fun and thriving part of the city, and it's an easy walk to the Plaza de Mayo and the subte. My room didn't have a desk or writing table, so this might not be the best option for people who need to work in their room, but it was amazing for my needs. I'll totally stay here on my next trip.
