Wonderful hotel and staff. Everyone was super helpful. Great location - Palermo has many excellent restaurants and shops and is easy to reach from the cruise port and airports.

total rip of and falsely advertised
Terrible experience and paid top $$$. As last review the hotel was awful. Upon checking in i was given the wrong room with 2 single beds. Rooms are very very small. First room the bathroom was putrid. Toilet washer still had left over pieces of scat and pubic hair from previews occupants. After complaint i was changed rooms. Second room was no better. Numbers missing of the room doors - exposed power cables under the TV - Bathroom fan sounded like a lawn mower - sink vanity falling away from the wall. After one night i devoloped a rash on my arm that i had to go to the doctor about. I can go on for ever. Was advertised on wotif it has 24 hour room service and mini bar. It has neither. So bad i left after the first night to stay in a hotel that is actually cleaned for a cheaper price. This hotel charged me for 5 nights stay when i only stayed 1 night. This is not how you want to start your vacation.

Some small details in the hotel, Front door was always locked, no Iron in the room and no whater kettle. Only sweet things for breakfast, no fruits. How ever all the staff was extremley friendly and caring, specially the lady in the breakfast!!! The staff made the stay really pleasant

My daughter helped me choose this hotel because of its location near the "yarn district" in Buenos Aires. I couldn't have been happier! I was greeted at the door, helped to my room, and offered assistance with the air conditioner and the television. The bed was large and cushy with numerous pillows with different levels of softness. There was a large whirlpool \shower with great water pressure. After a wonderful shower the desk clerk walked me outside and gave me shopping directions for numerous yarn stores all within a six block easy walk. The next morning I had a delicious continental breakfast, shopped, and the ladies at the desk called a cab for me. There was a rooftop pool that I didn't even take advantage of due to time!

The receptionists were very friendly and spoke English. Out of the 3 hotels I stayed in while in BA, this was my least favorite. There were hairs on the pillowcases and construction outside that kept me up three nights in a row. When I complained about the noise, they didn't offer to switch my room or compensate in any way.

I never write reviews, but wanted to warn you...
... beware of the pictures. Years ago may have been a decent place to stay, but currently this hotel is at best an OKish bed & breakfast. It is not a boutique hotel and should not be marketed as such. However, I will focus on factual observations during my stay: - walls are dirty and have not been repainted; - swimming pool does not have any water and rooftop terrace is abandoned; - gym facilities have not been maintained; - towels and sheets are heavily used (the fabric is tearing apart); - key cards fall apart within the day (the plastic foil with the magnetic band detaches within the day); - limited staff resulting in an appalling customer experience: had to wait 30' in the rain to be opened the hotel door at daytime, rooms are done quite late in the day, bar not operational (product/staff) - hotel lacks bottled water (just to give an example). coffee at breakfast is terrible; - iron is old and hardly works - humidity in the toilet - lack of staff to operate the hotel: however staff is very nice All in all owner is not willing to devote any resources to the upkeeping of the hotel and its operations, while maintaining high rates based on old nice pictures. Definitively avoid - it is a scam!

Our experience of the hotel got off to a bad start due to the unfriendly staff member on duty. He was not helpful and only responded to our requests with a minimal effort. The breakfast was absolutely dreadful. There were too many sweet items. The cakes were stale and sickly. The bread for toast and the jams were the lowest quality. The coffee was also very bad. The breakfast was so bad we did not take it again after the first morning. The bathroom had a basin that was difficult to use. The basin was too shallow and the tap which meant that you had to move side on to use it. The cupboards in the room had paint chips on them, making us feel as though we were staying in a hotel that needed some maintenance. There were no tissues provided in the bathroom either. The stair lights did not come on and so it was dangerous going to the roof top pool. The roof top pool did not have sufficient lighting at night time, I tripped on the outdoor stairs around the pool because of this.

Small hotel, Big disappointment
We stayed at the Purobaires on the evnings of October 2 and 3, 2014. We like small boutique hotels but were misled by some of the TripAdvisor reviews. The biggest drawback was the location. Although geographically located in Palermo, supposedly a plush area of Buenos Aires, the hotel is in fact located in the very northwestern corner streets of an area that is now extremely dangerous to wander in. The staff kept telling us not to walk the Streets after 6 PM, not to carry any cash (?), not to use ATMs in the area, to alwys take taxis when coming and going, etc. The second disappointment was the bathroom, not only small (expected) but difficult to maneuver in as one has to climb over a small and unstable stool to get in and out of the shower. Our room (202) had a window giving out on a 25 ft wall, which is dull and makes the room dark. The third point is breakfast (always included in the room price in BA) where only sweets are offered: no fruit, no eggs, just cookies and pastries overflowing with sugar. There are All Bran and Corn Flakes cereals though. Coffee was excellent but the only juice, orange, was genuine Tang, now a reliable dishwasher cleaner. Fourth, we had trouble finding the hotel at first as it is completely anonymous: there is no sign or lettering outside to indicate that this is a hotel. Of course the address is visible and we found the place but we thought this peculiar, perhaps related to the security problem mentioned above.

Great surprise!
This Hotel was a great surprise for me. I had to rate it at 5 for all items as it's very comfortable, clean and mostly the service is great. I felt like I was home. Without any doubts, I'll stay there every time I visit Buenos Aires.

I have an average rating for this hotel because of its location, room size and amenities - location is not great, moreover a construction is going on the opposite side, room size is quite small and it has a pool which you can definitely use during summer (as it is in the roof) but not during winter. Staff speaks english well, rooms were cleaned regularly(cant say everyday though) and the food was decent( Note- the menu was just the same daily).

Hotel is good and it is quite comfortable. Hotel front-desk staffs are friendly and English speaking. I would suggest this room if you are travelling alone or with another person at max. Travelling with a kid and staying in this hotel could be quite challenging as the rooms are small. Service is good but the breakfast became little monotonous (maybe because my stay was for longer duration). Overall my experience is good.

We'd been guided by site reviews to book this hotel for a 5 day stay. It was a pleasant enough experience but it certainly fell short of very high rating it boasts here. Pluses : location and staff, see below. Minuses: - small room size, we had booked one of their larger rooms for three people, but ended up having to book another room on the spot, as it was clearly too small to fit three comfortably. - although decor is modern and tasteful (+), it is now a little faded, scuffed headboards, dusty furniture, and a funny smell in my room that took three days to air out. - WIFI service was available for free but was also notoriously unreliable, it did not work more than half the time.. Miscellaneous: - although the hotel offers a full breakfast, it is heavy on sweets/cakes - traditional to B.A. tastes. - be safety conscious. During this trip one of my relatives was mugged (watch) in broad daylight in Palermo. Also watch out for many pavement potholes! - Travelling in BA can be stressful due to intense traffic all hours of the day, be sure to plan your visits to different areas of the city carefully. We found much to visit/browse in Palermo and San Telmo/Centro, but now think we would have been better off with a bus tour to other areas...Puerto Madero was a surprisingly refreshing break from city bustle. Enjoy!

Great little Boutique Hotel with a rooftop pool to cool you down and get away from the city noise. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only "downfall" was that it was a long walk to the subway and parks.

Great value, very helpful staff, and a comfortable room, although small. Not especially convenient for sightseeing and a good walk to the nearest Subte stations, but otherwise a nice value and a good experience!

Terrific Hotel and Terrific Hotel Service in Palermo Soho
Puro Baires Hotel was a great introduction to Buenoas Aires. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and thoroughly professional. ABC, the evening manager, was especially helpful with dinner reservations, recommendations, and directions -- but every one of the staff were top notch. Relaxing by the pool on the roof after a long day of sightseeing provided the perfect interlude. The location is great for shopping and dining. The facilities are new and tasteful. The rooms more than adequate, and the price is most reasonable. Will return for sure!

One of the best experiences in Palermo Soho
We stayed at PUROBAIRES Hotel boutique, it´s located in palermo Soho, in the best of it, near everything, one block away from Cordoba outlets and a few blocks from Plaza Serrano. The Hotel is almost new, Excellent Wifi connection free use,rooms are fantastic, we stayed in a Deluxe with Jacuzzi, facing to the Zen garden with a view to the internal cascade, very quiet, King size beds!!! The best of the Hotel is the staff , no doubt, receptionists speak any language and they are ready to help in anything you need at any time, the two chefs are excellent and you can see that they want to give you the best service, home made sweets and bakery every morning for the breakfast, you cannot stop!!!!. Absolutely the best option in Palermo, highly recommended

Não é um hotel 4 estrelas e é bem localizado.
O hotel é bem localizado, as camas são confortáveis e as toalhas são boas. O café da manhã foi sempre o mesmo, muito glúten e não tem ovos e nem opções saudáveis. A recepção está com aparência de falta de manutenção com paredes descascando. O vidro da porta da entrada estava quebrado seguro por um plástico. Ocupamos 3 quartos. Um dos quartos pediu um check out por volta de 12h/13h numa segunda feira e foi negado. No entanto, disponibilizaram o café da manhã antecipado num dia de excursão.

Purobaires ville jeg uden tvivl vælge igen.
Udmærket hotel - fin og imødekommende service. Renlighed af fineste standard. Fjernsynet virkede ikke - men jeg burger min computer, så jeg schade ikke noget om det til dem. Jeg kan ellers godt lige lide at scanne de lokale kanaler; men på spansk ville det under alle omstændigheder vær svær at få andet end et overfladisk indtryk.
