Location: Well located for tourist open top buses which run up Ave Córdoba and stop is only block away.
Great hotel close to several key attractions in Buenos Aires. Rooms are excellent (Sofitel standard or higher). Staff very friendly and complementary drinks at bar on arrival. Top notch.

The place of the hotel perfect

Posted Oct 5, 2014
Pros: The hotel is a traditional classic hotel, in very good condition, room clean and silent.
Location: Very good,
The place is not beautiful, but the location in the city is perfect, near to the restaurants zone Puerto Madero, easy for access, near to the city downtown.

Dissapointed

Posted Sep 24, 2014
With this hotels write-up and ranking I had expected both a good hotel and a functional restaurant. What I found was a good room, no issues there, but a hotel restaurant that was closed to guests except for breakfast. The hotel location is in a area that is deteriorating in Argentina's difficult economy. So it does not feel safe for a woman to be out on the street at night near the hotel. The hotel had a decent (albeit expensive) breakfast but when I tried to have lunch or dinner there I was told that I would have to sit in the noisy bar with a few menu choices since the hotel restaurant was reserved for private parties. This happened all 3 nights I was there and the 1 lunch that I tried to have at the hotel. This is unacceptable for a 4 star business hotel. I did have a dinner at Al Carbon about 1 1/2 blocks away on Reconquista which was good. The wine interestingly was 120 pesos for the same wine this hotel's bar was asking 285 pesos for. Argentina has a very complex situation with a official exchange rate of 8.4 but hundreds of people on Florida (the main walking street) trying to buy dollars as a exchange rate of 13.

Very good location, excellent staff

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: great location, great staff
Cons: A tea kettle in each room would be great.
Location: Great location! Centrally located near all popular neighborhoods.
We stayed here for 6 nights last week for our first trip to BA, and we were very pleased with the choice. The front desk staff are really nice and helpful, and all speak excellent English. The hotel itself is well situated within a short walking distance of a nice mall and other main attractions (Plaza de Mayo, the major plaza facing the Casa Rosada, is only a 15-minute walk at the most; Recoleta is a 25-minute easy walk, while Palermo is a 90-minute walk -- probably just take a cab there if you don't want to put in all the miles). The hotel is also near Subte stations, although we did not use the Subte during our time there. Puerto Madero with all its good restaurants is only a 10-minute walk (try Cabana Las Lilas for a very good, if pricey, meal. Just know that Argentinian parrillas cook their meat more, so a "medium rare" will be more like "medium"), and getting to other popular destinations is simple via walking or cab. The hotel room we had on the 9th floor was comfortable and large. The carpet was a little dingy, which is why I'm knocking off one star, and we only received one robe and one pair of slippers, but otherwise, it was comfortable, clean, and a good base for our BA touring. Our breakfast was included: simple but good with several options for hot and cold dishes. We ordered room service a few times, and the food was tasty and not too over-priced. Water to brush teeth with it totally safe, & corner store is right across the street for water, snacks, etc.

In Downtown in Quiet street

Posted Jul 30, 2014
Pros: the staff, in all departments: reception, restaurant, bellboy, & housekeeping
Cons: Keep the door of the entrance open.
Location: close to Mayo square, Florida street, Pacific mall...
the one thing that stands out is the consistent nice, helpful, & warm staff across all departments. They make a difference, and make this destination a better choice. Minor or Major, they have a quick solution to everything. if you are looking into being downtown BA, in a quiet street, then you are well served. Though the hotel seems more 4stars according to international standards.

Excellent stay with great rooms and service

Posted Jul 24, 2014 on Hotels.com
This hotel was a nice surprise. Very large rooms and very comfortable. If you travel a lot you know hotel rooms in other countries can be very small, but this was like the hotels you find in the US. The hotel staff was very kind and helpful. 7x24 hour doormen and security. Always greeted with a smile. They have 3 computers in the lobby for guest use and free lobby wifi. Everyone answered all questions about local events and places to eat. I will totally stay her again and recommend this hotel. When you arrive at the airport you can call them and they will have a car sent to pick you up and they hold up a sign at the airports meeting point. Try to inform them of your arrival before you land, it will make it a bit easier. The cost is about 42 to 45 USD but you can pay both in USD or Argentina pesos. The hotel will secure your ride back to the airport and you can pay for the taxi on your hotel bill.

Great Location and Comfortable Stay

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: Clean and well located. The staff was extremely friendly and the showers were amazing.. nice strong water flow.... !!
Location: I am use to not that great Mall food courts in the USA. please go to the local mall only a few blocks away and get the asado, empenadas.. and pizza!!
A great experience!. The hotel is located close to many tourist areas and conveniences. We stayed for 7 days and were pleased with the experience. .The staff was courteous and accommodating.. starting with emails to arrange for transportation to and from the airport. Room service was both affordable and very timely. The only issue was that when I booked the room I was asked if we wanted smoking or non smoking and I requested smoking... two days into the stay.. we were informed that it is now a non smoking hotel. Not a bad thing.. but it would have been nice to know ahead of time.. a small inconvenience. I would stay here again and recommend it to those looking for a nice and convenient location for Buenos Aires..
