Church trip

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Mattress maintenance
Location: It's in the medical district
I've stayed here before. Some staff were exceptionally nice and others seemed condescending. The rooms have nice decor, but the most important thing in the room: "THE MATTRESS" sagged in the middle. So I didn't sleep very well.

Stayed for one night with my son , had a quick ck in and room and bathroom were clean and had a fresh feel. Breakfast was not included in the tariff and had to pay extra. Checkout took only 5 mins as I paid with tc, otherwise its quick checkout if u charge it to your card. Nice and helpful staff

Near Hospitals

Posted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: Good Value.
Cons: Maybe a better description of the location for those of us that have never been there.
Location: Hospitals!
We booked this hotel thinking Buffalo was close to Niagara Falls. Turns out it's about 30 miles and two tolls away, and the hotel is located in the hospital district. Otherwise, the staff was friendly, we didn't have any problems with our reservation, the room was nice size and clean, the bed was very comfortable. They have a bar and café which was very nice except the bar closed a little early. Good value for the price!

Posted Jun 29, 2014
Pros: Very clean; lobby. hallways and room smelled clean & fresh.
Cons: double beds are not for two people
Location: 7 minutes from Convention center; plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance; shuttle available to drop off and pick up; valet parking
Problem on arrival was dealt with quickly and satisfactorily by Manager on duty and other staff. microwave and refrigerator in the room

Close to hospitals.. but that is it !

Posted Jun 23, 2014
Pros: Free shuttle. Spacious room
Location: Nothing! lol There is a Tim Horton's in the hospital across the street.
We stayed at the Doubletree by Hilton in downtown Buffalo when going to a Buffalo Bisons ball game. This hotel is not near anything, ie: restaurants, bars. It is right by the Buffalo general hospital and several other medical centers. The free shuttle is fantastic though! We appreciated it, as it was about a 45 minute walk to the ball game and bars/restaurants. Our room was a King and we had a single cot brought in. Very comfy. Large room with fridge and microwave. Staff were all very friendly.

Great hotel in downtown.

Close to everything and you have street parking available after 5 pm. Hotel is very clean and neat. Prices are great compared to the rest of the buffalo area and it's just a1 hour ride to niagara falls which is great because it allows to have great flexibility in Buffalo and niagara falls

A pleasant and affordable stay.

Posted Jun 15, 2014
Pros: DoubleTree Hotels always give you a free fresh-baked cookie when you arrive, which is welcome. The $13 per night valet parking is also worthwhile.
Cons: Nothing really, for single night's stay, it had everything as promised.
Location: Truth be told, there really isn't anything nearby, at least nothing we discovered. It takes about 30 minutes to walk to the downtown and things to do.
The hotel, though not central, is very clean, quiet and offered all the amenities is promised to. The people working the desk were very polite, helpful and had great senses of humour. The $13 per night valet parking, which offered access to our car at any time, was an excellent value. Our room (1 King bed) was spacious, with fully-working cable TV, a large fridge (for a hotel room) and microwave (rare to see). The Wi-fi was tricky to connect to at times, but that didn't affect our single night's stay. The bed was firm and comfortable and sheets and towels, like the rest of the space, was very clean and well-kept. Overall, despite the hotel not being close the ballpark we were going to (we knew that), the hotel offers superb prices, staff and experience for one or two nights.

Nice hotel but wrong information on parking

Posted Jun 14, 2014
Pros: Location not far from downtown and easily accessible, cleanliness, good size rooms with refrigerator and microwave, quiet
Cons: Information on parking is not correct. We were told on premise that self serve parking did not have had in-out privileges.
Location: Not much in immediate vicinity, need car but they also provide shuttle to downtown
Business type hotel with rather new large rooms. large TV and nice efficiency fridge and microwave. Easy temporary parking in front of hotel covered. 2 elevators. Not much in immediate vicinity except famous chicken wings pub. Basic restaurant on premise middle of the range prices for breakfast (10-15 $).
