Nice restoration of historic building

Posted Aug 7, 2014
Cons: Breakfast was lacking of anything healthy, just breads and muffins and cereals. No protein to speak of except a glass of milk.
Nice renovations of a historic building. Restaurant had very high ceilings, making it quite noisy. Shower was a bit odd with no shower door so water splashed out onto the floor.

Surprisingly Pleasant Accommodation

Posted Aug 6, 2014
Pros: Space, Kitchen, Hallway,
Cons: Nothing immediate comes to mind.
Location: Still only 15 minute drive to Walden Galleria Mall and shops.
We were pleasantly surprised by the size and space of the 2-bedroom suite. The room is almost like an apartment with a long hallway leading to the two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen was well equipped and handy to have. It's a good option if visiting Buffalo to shop. Self-parking is the only challenge but there is a valet parking service that is convenient.

nice stay

Posted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: The decor was nice. the original building was still perserved while giving a modern look.
Cons: Parking not included but valet is offered.
We stayed for one night. It was a nice quiet room , nice linen and comfortable bed. We had a continental breakfast (Bagels, coffee, some fruit - apples and oranges, cereal and muffins) which was included when we booked the place. The only thing that was needed was a parking lot. They did have valet service to offer for an additional price.

Wonderful

The hotel is pristine. They have kept the classic feel with modern twists. Very clean, very sleek, and the staff was very helpful. I would highly recommend.

Great refurbished hotel, short walk to the arena.

Posted Jul 3, 2014
Pros: Lots of character. Good restaurants on site, but hours a bit limited. Big suite in great condition.
Cons: Continental breakfast was lack lustre and there weren't better options in the hotel.
In Buffalo for the Frank Lloyd Wright houses and a concert at the First Niagara Centre. Everything at the hotel went very well and we were surprised by the size of the room and the full kitchen. It was great to stay in a historic hotel in the downtown. Hoping to stay here the next time the NCAA basketball is back in Buffalo. The brewpub in the old hotel dining room was good. Food OK, beer very good. The Butterwood restaurant/bakery in the lower part of the hotel is great, particularly the room, but the hours are limited.

Highly recommend, well appointed, century hotel.

Pros: original architecture, caring renovations, easy access to highway and first Niagara centre, spaciousness
Cons: continental breakfast! we would be happy to pay more for cold cheeses, peanut butter, cold hard boiled eggs. It was too sugary, no healthy proteins.
Location: Great walking and car access to lots of options - shopping, beaches, walking distance to concert and game venues.
Beautiful, unique, spacious, conditions in this newly renovated one-of-a-kind hotel. It is easy to see that in its prime it was one of the top hotels in the country and the renovations highlight all its glory. Easy access to highway for beaches, mall shopping. Walking distance to HSBC (First Niagara Centre) for easy access to large downtown entertainment events. We thought the value for the dollar was excellent. In room kitchen was really good.

Beautiful Hotel

Posted May 27, 2014
Pros: Very quiet.
Our room was absolutely beautiful inside! Love the Art Deco style. Purple's and gray colors. The room was huge! Well worth the money paid.
