“Not impressed”

The Manager was very rude to me. I had an email from Expedia confriming my reservation with stipulations that Iwas exempted from paying an extracharge, and the Manager insisted that I was the wrote the email. How ridiculous and rude!!!

“Not the top of the line but very good for it's age”

This may not be where you would take your family to but travelling with my brother it was perfect. Yes we would stay there again and recommend it as is.

“Will stay again”

The room was clean. We had a nice stay. We stayed there for only one night and we did not find anything bad. The breakfast options could have been better.

Dining
We ate at a South Indian restaurant - "Palace of Dosas' at Millersport Hwy, Buffalo, during our visit to Niagara falls. The food was good. In fact, it was so good that we went there for first day's dinner and the next day's lunch. It is definitely worth a try.

“Not impressed”

Very strange setup for rooms. Very old motel and badly in need of refurbishing. Still using keys for the doors, almost unheard of today. A party was going on right next to my room. The ice machine was located across from my room and it is very noisy when it is dispensing ice. This went on for quite a while. Could not recommend this motel to anyone else. Very over priced because of a busy weekend in Buffalo.

“What a dump!”

The people who have rated this hotel with anything more than a 1 are nuts. This was the worst dump I've ever stayed in and I travel a lot. Had to run to a store and buy air freshener to get past the stinch. Trust me, you will not be happy staying here or learn the hard way yourself as I did. You've been warned!

“Oldish hotel with good service .”

This hotel is old but well maintained .The staff was very helpful .The walls between each room are not well sound proofed , but we were there during a low census week so that was not a problem .The heating / cooling system was not used so I cannot comment on the noise or effectiveness of that system .

Area recommendations
This hotel is within walking distance (1mile) of downtown Williamsville ,NY . A delightful place with shopping/eating and its very own miniature Niagra Falls .A wall kept secret !

“happy big family”

Good hotel for the value - we went as a large family with young children and stayed in 2 connecting rooms (they connect via an ante-room). Stayed two nights. Beds were clean and cozy albeit oldish; carpet looked clean; bathroom was spotless; desk staff polite. Would DEFINITELY stay again. Kids were excited to be there. Lobby had a comfy appeal - a decent continental breakfast (cereal, juice, breads/muffins and fruit) was served in the lobby area. Coffee machines and coffee/sugar etc. in rooms. Basic bathroom supplies (shampoo and soap) and plenty of towels, even for our large family. Location seemed safe. Check in and check out were straight-forward and quick. Negative points included that one of the bathroom tubs drained very slowly (so that the water backed up while one was showering) - the other bathroom's tub didn't hold water (so that one could only shower there). (We did not request intervention for this.) Decor was oldish also (but newer than our home so that didn't bother us!) and nevertheless everything seemed clean. We didn't hear any "neighbors" (could be we didn't have any?) other than people passing noisily through halls. Everything was as expected. Close to Niagara Falls. We will happily recommend this hotel to our friends.

“nice old inn”

beautiful lobby area, nice history lesson. the inn was very convenient to the village and shopping in williamsville. nice lay out and even tho it was near the freeway it was very quiet. the inn itself needs some updating. the doors are very sticky (makes noise when opened/colsed) and the faucets need help. other than that it was a nice place; good breakfast area and fair breakfast.

Area recommendations
the village of williamsville. very historic and lots of shops to browse. also the eagle house for food and a good place to gather for a cocktail and meet friends.
When to go
best time would be in early spring or late fall. it won't be as hot as mid summer. getting around is not bad; main street has it all. must see are the shops in the village and while there you just have to see the American falls in niagra. best place to eat is the eagle house on main street. but there are plenty of eateries in the village; you won't go hungry and prices are reasonable. there is a park down in the village for wondering with a beautiful white water area. also many attractions in buffalo. for family i recommend the tift nature preserve for the "bug" collecting, the sunset and making smores aferwards.
Getting around
easy access to major highways; the airport is minutes away. main street, hiway 5, will get you just about anywhere. traffic is not bad with turning lanes.
Must see
American falls, niagra falls; tift nature preserve; the navy museum on the waterfront; elmwood avenue and all it's shops and much more.
Dining
favorite is the eagle house but just about every type of food is available in williamsville from tim hortons to top notch dining at local eateries. prices vary but most are reasonable.
Family-friendly activities
check the phone book; there are many many attractions.
