Great option for the price

We stayed at this hotel for two nights while we came to clean out my mother in laws house who had passed away. At check in I asked for a nice view and was kindly accommodated. The room was very nice and did not have that musty smell that comes with inexpensive hotels rooms. The downside was the internet service. It was 11.99 for 24 hours and was extremely slow. I was trying to download a rented movie and it said it would take 2k hours to download. Being that free internet is pretty standard even at cheaper hotels, and that many kids and non gamblers do spend a lot of time stuck in their rooms- it seems the Aquarius could figure out the problem. When I called and asked for them to turn off and remove the charge- they did so no problem. The food at the cafe was standard cafe fair, reasonably priced but seemed like a lot of it came in frozen. There is however and Outback Steakhouse inside the hotel and was same as any other outback. There was a long wait at 630 on a Friday night but that is the norm. I am not a gambler and despise cigarette smoke, so I can't comment on that, but for a quickie hotel stay I think the Aquarius would be my choice to stay again.

Aquarius Hotel -- To "UpGrade" or Not ???

Posted Oct 14, 2013
Pros: The Cove was a cool little bar with great drinks and apps. Also, there is an Outback Steak House in the hotel that offers room service. NICE!!!
Location: Great Location! But, Laughlin is pretty small, so… pretty much anywhere on the river is a good location.
We needed a Grand Canyon escape and decided to head to Laughlin for a little get-away. Not knowing for certain how long we'd stay, we booked 3 nights at Harrah's. After three days, we decided we'd like to stay in Laughlin a couple more nights. We opted to "UpGrade" to the Aquarius. Though the rooms were slightly nicer, we were highly disappointed to find that not only was the pool area very sterile looking (no personality at all) IT WAS CLOSED !!! The weather was absolutely gorgeous! (1st week in October) And, we had been enjoying our time at the Harrah's pool for several days. We thought a change of venue would be fun, but wished we'd have stayed put. All in all a nice hotel, just don't go there if you're looking to relax poolside.

Too noisy

Posted Oct 14, 2013
Pros: Apperance
Cons: Noise level of rooms
Walls are paper thin. Stayed in adult tower, 16th floor, panaramic view room. We could hear people in rooms on both sides of us. People in the hall way were like they were in our room. Would not stay there again.

Pros: The river view from the room.
Cons: Add more restaurants at the food court and need more entertainment inside the resort.
Location: not much.
The room was newly remodeled, very clean and comfortable. Especially, the river view room I got really nice view.

Great stay

The Aquarius is along the "river walk" area of Laughlin. I found all the staff to be friendly and eager to make our stay enjoyable. Our river view room was very nicely appointed and extremely clean. The rates were very affordable. We stayed several days here, and then went to Las Vegas- the Aquarius is very comparable to some of the nicer places in Vegas with a more laid-back atmosphere, lower rates and better service.

Had fun at all the tables, plus the machines. Easy parking and convenient located between other casinos.

Nice view of the Colorado River

Posted Oct 12, 2013
Pros: The view from the room was nice, and the hotel in general appeared well maintained.
Cons: The shower in the room did not work. A poker room would be a nice addition.
It was very windy when we were there (actually blowing stuff off of buildings), so we did not do much outside. I only found 3 hotels that had a poker room; Aquarius was not one of them.
