“Never Go Back Watch your Credit Card Information”

Watch your Credit Card information someone that works behind the front desk is stealing your information. They told us all the rooms had been remoldeled but that was not true we got an old room and we could hardly sleep the sound of the AC was so loud you could not sleep. They accused us of having a dog in the room not true because we had dog hair on our shoes , but no dogs with us they were at home. Don't know what there problem is but do not trust them . We had stayed there 3 years ago and things were nicer than, but now I would never stay there again. Terrible

“Always stay here each year to enjoy the Colorado River with family & friends”

Enjoy staying here. It's great for the family & has excellent beach access since we come with boats & seadoos. Buffet is good & well priced. The pool is great & they have separate kid & adult sections. Love the firework area too since the next door liquor store sells some cool fireworks - my kids had a blast. Rooms are always clean & comfortable. We got a room in the new tower in August 2011 & rooms were nicer & didn't smell like smoke (we are non-smokers). Shampoo, lotion & conditioner provided in small sizes have been upgraded & are better quality. The ai conditioner worked great & room is supplied with iron + board & hairdryer. Lots of room to have coolers & other stuff too.

Area recommendations

Laughlin center is about 1/2 hour away by car & the Avi is a stand alone location. Also great to visit the dams.

“Great beach at Colorado river”

Huge hotel with nice swimming-pool, bad water quality. Great location at Colorado River, far away from center. We enjoyed swimming in the river, as the water was cooler und clean. Within the entire hotel it smells quite grumpy. The Dinner-Buffet was not special at all, would not eat there anymore.

“NASTY!!!...OLD AND DIRTY”

THIS HOTEL IS DIRTY...OLD...MUSTY...MILDEW EVERYWHERE...THE ROOM WAS VERY OUTDATED AND THE BED WAS HARD LUMPY AND THE PILLOWS WERE SMALL AND UNCOMFORTABLE...THE MACHINES WERE OLD UNKEPT AND THE WHOLE CASINO WAS NASTY (DIRTY CARPET...BUCKETS IN THE HALLWAY CATCHING WATER FROM A LEAKING AC UNIT I SUPPOSE AS IT WAS 107 DEGREES OUTSIDE AND NO RAIN IN SIGHT)...LET ME TELL YOU FOLKS GO SOMEWHERE ELSE....ALSO THE POOL IS OLD AND IN NEED OF RENOVATIONS...THE PICS ON LINE WERE TAKEN AT VERY "GOOD" ANGLES LET ME TELL YOU...THE PROPERTY IS NASTY KIDDOS! I WILL NEVER GO BACK AND I HOPE ALL OF YOU TAKE YOUR HARD EARNED VACATION DOLLARS SOMEWHERE ELSE!

“In a pinch, a good place to stay”

Had family business to take care of approximately 15 miles away from the Avi. The Avi was a nice enough place to stay overnight - after driving for 6 hours, it was a great relief to find out that the front desk was able to let us into a room a bit earlier than regular check in time. VERY grateful for that. The Avi had a few places we could get a nice snack - Subway, Sbarro, Panda Express, and also had a little hot dog/ice cream eatery. We didn't have time, but there's also a movie theatre, arcade, and a nice pool. The casino was nice - at night however, the crowd sure seemed young, especially the crowd hanging out in the eatery area.

Area recommendations

Didn't get a chance to visit neighborhoods... Weren't really any to speak of.

Getting there

If you're going to the Avi, I strongly advise you go during the day. The little two-lane road that gets you there is very windy with several up and down hills and turns. No street lights.

The location of the hotel was quiet and surreal. Shopping was also close enough to get too.

Very nice beach and pool, there special were great if you had a player card, cant wait to go back!
