“excellent value”
We found the hotel to be a very nice and clean accomodation. The value was excellent and we will definitely return.
“Golden Nugget in Laughlin”
I really liked our room at the Golden Nugget. We had #169. It was very clean and looked in excellent shape. There was no smoke smell at all in the room for which I'm grateful because of my asthma. I wore a mask in the rest of the hotel as it was smokey. Comfortable bed and pillows. The sheets were like new. I'd definitely recommend this hotel. Price was great too. Just don't eat from the basket of goodies as it's $30.00 is what I think they said. The Breakfast restaurant, was excellent and didn't smell bad either. I think it's called Harrah or something like that. I wish we'd have found it the night before as it was inexpensive and good. The other two restaurants seemed expensive to me. The one we liked was the first on on the left after the shops.
“Good for the price”
Good value for your money and conveniently located. Hotel is starting to show its age. Not as clean as it should be.
“Will not ever book here again”
I had two rooms booked. We arrived at 1:00pm. When trying to check in we were advised by a very rude desk clerk check in time is 3:00pm. Ok at 3:00 I returned to check in another rude desk clerk informs me the rooms are guaranteed ready by 4:30. She finally agrees to check us in, when I asked for adjoining rooms as my bother traveling with us is handicapped, she says they don’t have adjoining rooms. We ended up with rooms across from each other. Upon entering the rooms they both had doors to accommodate adjoining rooms. The rooms both had old 19” TV’s that were very blurry. One of the remotes had all the number indicators worn off. In the other room the heater wasn’t working. It took two calls to the operator to finally have a maintenance person about 3 hours later.
“Great place for the price, be ready to nickle and dimed!”
Senior city! Loads of nice older people, in a "Reno" type location. Hotel is nice but not new or anything. Be ready to pay for ANY extras, internet, coffee in your room, etc. Also, any food deals in the restaurants are limited to weekdays and if you sign up for "player’s cards". This includes all the casino/hotels in the area. The Palms is just one casino up on the river walk has a really reasonably priced buffet (food is like an Old Country Buffet or Golden Corral - Not the greatest but not bad) at half the price of all other buffets. The Hotel is considered middle of the road in the list of hotels available in the area, but the price is exactly right for what you get. Rooms were VERY clean and bathrooms were LARGE! The PARKING is free though which is great as in many of the casino/hotel they tend to charge. Also parking for trucks and motorhomes.
“Great Place to Vacation”
The Golden Nugget was all that I expected and more.
“Needs to be updated.”
Hotel property needs to be refurbished-upgraded as carpets were stained and dingy looking. Need to modernize the TV.
“a enjoyable weekend with the one you love”
can't wait to go back.
“Everything was wrong”
It was the change of seasons, summer to fall....the room was not ready..the heater did not work....no towels in the bathroom...room was not clean. not a good time ,,,,will not go back
“No free coffee in room”
There was a $30 charge to use the phone, or gift basket that was left. The gift basket had the coffee for the coffee pot, so no coffee unless you paid the $30, which was the fee if you used any of the items in the basket. This did not make me happy.
