“comfortable, clean hotel”

this was my first stay at this hotel. i was traveling w/kids so i wanted a hotel w/a nice pool and it had good reviews. the pool was nice and clean w/a great view of the river and lots of room for lounging. however, the pool itself was way too small. once there were more than 7 or 8 people in it, it was very crowded.

My family and I have had the pleasure of staying at practically all the hotels in Laughlin expect for about 2 or 3 of them and I was absolutely floored by the quality, cleanliness, hospitality, and features at the Golden Nugget. I would and in fact have, recommended this hotel to all my friends.

The Golden Nugget may not look so grand from the outside, but the inside is stunning. The entire staff was very warm and accomodating. Spectacular views of the Colorado River and surrounding beauty of the Southwest desert will bring many fond memories. Laughlin has the feel of Las Vegas before the Big Corporations took over. Great Location! Sea-Doos and Boat Tours right from the Golden Nugget Dock. The Food was Amazing. Especially the Steak House. An Added Plus- in the casino you actually have coins that clink out instead of those bland 'credit' receipts: this adds to the whole Gaming Feel! Plus they have an excellent nightclub named Tarzan's to get your groove on late at night. Don't miss the Sunday Champagne Brunch at Harlow's. The pool area overlooks the majestic Colorado River.
