“WOW”

We stayed in a river front suite, which is NOT expensive at all, and were amazed. We had a complete living room, kitchen table with 4 chairs, and a balcony with views of the Colorado River to die for!!! Laughlin a hop skip and jump away, this hotel is so well located and so nice. Can't wait to go back!!Kay

“Impressed”

When you drive up it seems like a not so nice hotel but the staff was very nice and the rooms looked remodeled so they were way better than I expected. Everythins was nice and clean. The bed wasn't too comfy but hey that's usually the case in many cheaper hotels. I was impressed.

“Not what we expected”

It said on their website that their suites had been recently remodeled but the room wasn't what we expected. Burns on the carpet in our non- smoking room, hairs in the bathroom and on sheets, presumably from the maid service. The beds were comfortable though. I had called ahead to check about dogs and we paid the dog fee but had to takeour dog quiete a distance for the "dog area" after we had been told that it was close by. We were there for two nights, and won't stay there again.

“Pleasantly surprised”

The Lodge on the River was (on the river), the pool overlooked the Colorado and we were entertained by an owl and ducks in the pool area. There was even a road runner on the grass by the pool. Very nice

Area recommendations

The ceremony took place in the County Park, which was a few miles north of the city, and I was a beautiful area.

Nightlife

Bullhead City is a few miles from Laoghlin, and a walk or cab ride away. You can spend the night entertained and maybe win a few dollars in the casinos?

“River Palms is much better for dog owners”

People on vacation want to have fun, not be lectured, or ripped off. River Palms Resort is a much better place for Dog owners. The only good part of the cost of the lesson learned at Lodge on the River was finding out about River Palms.

Area recommendations

I would reccommend the River Palms to responsible dog owners. Be prepared to agree to 100 dollar refudable deposit, and clean up after your dog on the grounds not in the room. Pay attention to dog walking areas by the river, and watch for snakes. You and you dog will have an enjoyable time. Please do not leave your dog un-attended un-necessarilly. You can take your dog into parts of the casino also.

“OK for the money....”

Rooms were acceptable for the rate. Not incredibly clean, and not very dirty either. People next door seemed to be semi-permanent residents and had very loud dogs, barking and mean as well. Doesn't look at all like the pictures displayed. I am assuming the river side suites are much nicer. River is beautiful, and a longer travel time to casinos than expected.

“Great River View”

Extremely nice river view, pool area and river suite accommodattions. We will definitely go back. The office staff was accommodating and pleasant. Things were maintained and the rooms clean.

“beware of management”

Make sure you have all of your documentation when you stay at this hotel. We checked in for two nights without any problems. The following morning we received a nasty phone call from the manager saying we had forgotten to check out and she had locked us out of the room. We left a family function to return to the hotel and resolve the situation. When we were able to prove that we had reservations for both nights, the manager's response was 'our system has just been a nightmare'. There was no apology for her obnoxious attitude but she did make it clear that the people that she had planned on having in our room would receive the upgrade to a suite. The room was clean although the beds are remarkably uncomfortable. The service was abysmal and I will not stay at this hotel again. I could not recommend this hotel under any conditions.
