You get what you pay for

I wasn't expecting anything fancy, but this hotel was a dump. The room smelled of cigarette even though it was non smoking, there were huge bugs in the bathroom and room, carpet had stains throughout the room, lights were out or didn't work properly, bed sheets were dingy and stained and the list goes on. Definitely won't be staying there again.

The hotel room was pretty nice. The other facilities at the hotel were some what dated. The elevators were not the very best. I would rate the food at the hotel poor compared to other hotels in the area. The best thing about the food would be being able to get the buffet for $1.99 on Monday, if you have enough points on your player's card. I would only stay again if I could not get in other hotel. Also, the hotel is on the opposite side of the street from the river so there really is no true river view. We did upgrade our room so I do wonder what the room experience would have been like if we had not upgraded.

Worst hotel casino expierence ever!!

Posted Jul 28, 2015
Check in took almost 2 hours. Only 2 front desk clerks. Could not accommodate my handicapped father in law. Staff in all areas were rude. Gambled for 6 hours straight at the tables and was offered 2 drinks. There was one cocktail waitress for the entire casino. This hotel has gone down hill, I have always stayed with tropicanna since it was the old ramada, and will never stay again!!! We changed hotels for our second night and had a wonderful expierence at the Colorado belle!!! Thanks but no thanks tropicanna you lost a costumer for life!!!!

Don't stay here

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: nothing
Cons: everything
Our room had no refrigerator, microwave, or WiFi. Upholstery on one of the chairs was ripped. Any hotel should have refrigerator, microwave, and WiFi standard. This place charges extra. Casino area was very smoky smelling

A good deal for the money.

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: Price
Cons: Need more table play. A lot of slots empty but couldn't get near a table or video poker at the bars all night.
Location: Walking distance to the other casinos and the waterfront. Saturday brunch buffet and bottomless mimosas was great!
Quiet, clean room, nothing fancy but definately comfortable (and the airconditioning worked like a champ).

The furniture needs remodeling. My room seemed to be falling apart.

Fairly nice hotel

Posted Jul 24, 2015
Pros: Hotel staff did try to respond quickly to service requests. However, their fixes were not always sufficient.
Cons: Better vacuuming by hotel staff. Maintenance workers that speak English?
Disappointed in rooms. One of the two rooms we booked had an a/c unit not working properly. Hotel sent up maintenance person very quickly; however, their so called fix did not do anything to make the a/c cool the room off at all. Finally ended up moving rooms. The second room a/c was barely functioning as well. Again, maintenance came up and supposedly fixed it - wrong. Since I was not as fussy as another individual in our party, we switched rooms so that they had a room with a/c doing a better job of cooling. The room I ended up with was also infested with crickets. Managed to kill the ones I saw on the floors and walls. However, got really grossed out two days later when I discovered one in my bed - yuck! Vacuuming by hotel staff was sadly lacking as things on floors in room and hallways were still there 3-4 days later. Hotel was woefully under prepared for influx of guests on Thursday evening and Friday before July 4th. Waited over 20 minutes for an elevator to go down from second floor. Hotel security did not want stairs used as they wanted them to be kept clear for emergencies. Hotel finally started taking people up in the service elevator in an attempt to eliminate the long line and wait for elevators to go up. Crazy. In fairness, all hotels in the area seemed to be swimming in large families/groups Thursday and Friday - we left Friday morning.

Even though Laughlin had a water issue, everything was great.
