Nice hotel and location let down by the service. We booked because of food reviews but we were unable to get a drink at the bar although pressed the button as instructed to get service waited for ages but no one came and the tasting menu was not appealing . Breakfast was a disaster and the waiter clearing tables was in a dream and so miserable nearly all tables had signs of previous guests and the buffet was either all empty or non existent . On requesting the hot be refilled as empty it took 20 minutes for it to appear . No plates no glasses and had to keep asking for items needed . Disappointed as it had excellent reviews for its breakfast. We did eat in the hotels associated restaurant in the square Puerta Real which the hotel receptionist recommended and gave us a leaflet that gave us 5% off out restaurant bill it was excellent and made up for disappointment at the hotel. Burgos was worth a visit and it should be noted that sat Nav takes you the right way to hotel but be aware there is a bollard system into the town which is confusing if you are not aware but you have to follow instructions advise you are staying at the hotel and it will allow entry good luck finding the hotel!!!! The receptionist was very helpful.

I got a cut on my head and was bleeding, and the staff immediately gave me an ice bag, which stopped the bleeding. After that whenever I went by the front desk, the receptionist always asked how I was doing. This was very appreciated. The breakfast buffet was OK, but not excellent. It should be avoided when there is a large tour group eating.

Don't go there if you use a car. It was extremely difficult to get into the city with closed streets, and only with the help of a taxi driver, also during social events in the streets, could we make it. The staff is friendly, especially Mrs. Laura. The bathroom is absurd, the WC is too small (physiology of males is different from females and children), they made them circular to impress. But it is too bad. The shower has no protection bars. The worst bathroom for the price. Breakfast ok, but not good serrano ham, strange in a hotel of that class. Go to a different Rice Palacio in the city.

The most important thing about this hotel is the location, just steps away from the Burgos Cathedral and surrounded by restaurants, bars, cafes, … despite that, we couldn’t hear any noise from our room ( on the 2nd floor). The room and bathroom were spacious and we also had a separate sitting room. Very friendly staff and easy parking onsite. Good quality/price ratio !

We stayed here with our family. Great hotel and surroundings. Remember to read the fine print on how to enter the old town center, since it is blocked to cars.

Fantastic hotel and staff. Location excellent
Fantastic location bars, restaurants, cathedral and shops. Hotel, breakfast fantastic and staff excellent going that extra mile. The bed was firm which I prefer. All 5 stars and I am picky! Will definitely go back again. Down side, not affecting rating, is getting to the hotel from the main road via pedestrian streets - Contact hotel for information and a map highlight this access. Car park under hotel is safe but a little tight when full. We managed with a small suv and a number of manoeuvres. Hotel.com do not provide enough essential information. I’d book direct with the hotel.

Absolutely beautiful hotel and catered very well for a family of four. Two separate rooms was a blessing. Would recommend as the location to Burgos Old Town is on the door step and it has amazing pinxto bars scattered throughout

The room was spacious and modern with fridge and safe but, having booked some weeks in advance, when we arrived we were unable to have dinner in the hotel either night, or use the terrace because of weddings, and the hotel disco kept us awake until 3am. On the second day, the hot breakfast was cold.

Very comfortable hotel right in the middle of the city, just a couple of minutes from the cathedral and with plenty of restaurants around. Despite the noise in the street, our room was perfectly silent through the night! Breakfast was delicious. We used the hotel parking, and actually getting there with the car was the only challenge, since all the streets around it are pedestrian only. Apparently you have to get permission from the authorities in advance, which we didn't know. Will be happy to return if we're not driving, though!

I would give it a miss.
I feel like this was false advertising. The staff were lovely, but the rooms were dirty - the hotel overall is tired, faded and old. Too expensive for that! The buffet is abysmal. Like seriously - everything was at least 2 days old and there was a whole lot of nothing. Not worth what we were charged at all. But the staff were friendly and nice.

Location is excellent but e hotel needs some work done to it. Dirty walls and floors in our room and not what we expected for the price we paid. The breakfast was really bad. The fruit had been cut up days before, the cold meat was old too and there was no real hot food options which you expect at a 4 star.

Fantastic hotel, and great value for money
Beautiful hotel, close to all the tapas bars and restaurants. Very clean and modern. Our room was fantastic with an enormous bed and our sons bed was in a separate room. Ww would definitely stay here again if we return to Burgos

We enjoyed the in site coffees do prion for breakfast. We did not!!! Ike that we had no option to keep the AC on as it turned off automatically during the night and the room got hot quickly.

Excellent central location for sightseeing and generous breakfast buffet. Broadband speed totally inadequate for 4 star hotel. Reception staff multitasking and usually prioritise answering phone rather than attend to customer stood in front of them. All in all would recommend staying here.

Nice hotel in a great location with lots of local restaurants within an easy walk. The only downside was the air conditioning in the room struggled to get the room down to a pleasant temperature. Also the parking underground is VERY tight.

The Location is good. The room is big and comfortable. There is no electric water boiler. The water pressure of shower for bathing is low. Overall, all are good.

The hotel is in a pedestrinised zone and you have to get the barrier lowered to get access via an intercom. The location is superb but the rooms are dated. Breakfast buffet is good. Would stay here again if without car.
