Lovely room. Requested a quiet room. Nope.

Posted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: Loved that they have gotten rid of the heavy comforter. The light wt. white cover was a good idea.
Cons: See above
Location: Abolutely no and I mean no dining choices in Keokuk. Visited Nauvoo, IL across the river. The sites run by the Mormons were interesting.
Lovely hotel and newly renovated. Requested a quiet room on Expedia. A quiet room is at the very least a room with 4 walls and a door. Mine had a pass-through door to the next room. Sorry. Not quiet. Up till mid-night with a group playing a game next door. So a quiet room would be a room without a pass-through door, a room located away from an elevator, ice machine, entry etc. Mostly this was the case in Keokuk. The staff were very pleasant and as the noise ended at around mid-night on Fri I decided not to request a room change for Sat. night. Thanks for asking. R.Prischman

Pros: Very nice handicapped room. Nice breakfast.
Cons: Try to keep an access to the door when construction is being done
Our stay was very good, breakfast was very good, staff at check in was helpful. The problem was the parking lot was torn up with repair. We could not drive up to check in nor could we access the handicapped parking and my husband uses a cane and has great difficulty walking any distance. We were a late check in and had to park in the back row although all the handicapped spaces were available, but no access and I could not let him off at the door.

Glad you enjoyed your stay overall. I am sorry to hear the parking lot repair was a inconvenience. It was part of a huge remodel we were going through. The good news is the remodel is complete and the parking lot is back to normal. I hope that you come enjoy another nights stay with us again. Thank you for your feedback.

Pros: Clean and comfortable room with refrigerator and microwave. Woman at the front desk was friendly, kind and helpful. Good breakfast.
Location: Location was good for us as we visited Nauvoo and surrounding towns.
Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a great perk. The location was close to markets and a few eateries. We were about 15 miles from Nauvoo.

Pros: It was convenient, clean, and comfy!
Cons: Friendliness of staff. They don't really even acknowledge you. Except the lovely breakfast lady. She was super nice!
Location: Right next to Walmart. What else could you need?
It was comfy. Big room. We were there 3 days. It was a great stay!

Pros: The hotel staff were nice and very helpful.
Cons: The hotel could use some maintenance.
Location: Carthage and Nauvoo, IL
The breakfast and staff were good. I was disappointed that the hot tub was out of order. There was water damage to the ceiling in our room.

Sorry to hear that your stay wasn't the experience you expected. We have completed the spa and have it back in service as of now. I will make sure to look into the water damage issue and get it taken care of. Glad to hear the staff treated you well. We sure hope that you will come back and see us soon.

Clean and Convienient

Posted Jul 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed one night while visiting the Nauvoo Pageant in July. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. The quality of the breakfast was a pleasant surprise as that was not listed as one of the amenities on the hotels.com website. Pricing was a little more than we wanted to pay, but it's the busy season of summer.

Bad smelling room.

Posted Jun 13, 2014
First room provided had a strong smell of urine! Told and showed hotel management and the said it was the simply the filter and would change. They did provide another room, but did indicate they would book someone else in this room. Can not believe they would do that to another guest. The entire AC unit needed to be replaced.

We responded right away by replacing the air condition. We believe that the cause of the smell was from it being put on the heater. As you are probably aware if the heater sit for a few months they tend to smell. Rest assured the issue was taken care of right away. I'm glad we were able to get you into a better suited room for the night.
