“Nothing to Write Home About!”

Not told that room was on second floor with narrow stairs and other uneven surfaces for older folks to maneuver. Inadequate parking. Not only number of spaces but accessibility to entrances. Staff seemed indifferent to concerns. On the upside, check-in was a breeze.

“Okay for one night”

The best thing about our stay was the helpfulness of front desk staff. Accidentally made reservation for wrong night, and desk clerk very kindly changed the reservation after we arrived. Also, overslept and didn't realize checkout was 11 and didn't get out until almost noon. No problem. The hotel is clean, but older and very worn in places.

“Sharon”

Good location for UVM and visiting. Clean and neat. Only problem is breakfast service. Toaster was not working and help claimed it was circuitbreaker. It took several requests to develop a sense of urgency over untoasted bread. Additionally, there were a few missing items and she needed to relax and get thing slike spoons etc. Eating cereal and toasting bread is the main ingredient to a continental breakfast.

Conveniently located just south to Burlington, only minutes away drive from most tourist attractions.

“Bed pillows were fantastic”

Bed/Bed pillows were to die for! great sleeping conditions. Hot tub was a little dated; pool was wonderful. Good location-near S Burlington .Did not know we had a frig-it was in the TV console!! Had a good time for the short time we were there.

“Very Good Value”

We needed a place to stay to tour UVM and this is definitely the best value we found. It's about 10 minutes to the college and downtown Burlington. Only trouble is downtown parking is difficult and it was a little far to walk. Otherwise great place; clean and good breakfast

“A poor accommodation.”

There was a sink hole in the middle of our mattress, the blanket was old and dirty,and the TV was all static. When the AC kicked on it was very loud, and woke us up all through the night.Also, the breakfast was terrible, with little room in the dining area for all the people using it. This is the first time I have ever given a bad review. This was a very unpleasant accommodation.

The Shelburn museum was fabulous, and way beyond expectations. What a beautiful part of America. Burlington is a fun little city as well.

“Clean and comfortable”

Our room was clean and comfortable. The sliding glass doors kept traffic noise impossible to hear. If you like to sleep with open windows might not be a great choice. Staff was friendly and helpful; location was easy to find and easy to get out of. The hotel was fully booked for a weekend in June, but very quiet. The breakfast room was crowded the first morning so we drove off to Denny's, but the other mornings we got up earlier and had breakfast at hotel. All in all a good hotel room and we'd stay there again if we were in Burlington.

Area recommendations

Waterfront in Burlington was nice, but due to Lake Champlain being 3 feet over floodstage we couldn't rent canoes. Shelburne Museum is a MUST. Be sure and see the Cassett paintings in the Memorial Building. The Breaded Frog in Shelburne had excellent food.

“Nice place to stay”

This is an easy place to stay and quite comfortable...looks like rooms have been recently renovated. It was quiet. The staff was extremely good. Breakfast better than most with hot items (eggs, etc) as well as the usual items.

Area recommendations

Although I was just doing a quick overnight there were plenty of things to do...shopping, movies close by and all of downtown Burlington just a few minutes away.
