“Not as outstanding as prior reviews had indicated”

While I would give a qualified recommendation to others for Sloan's, my wife would probably not. A few cleanliness issues with the bathroom and carpeting, and minor things like the lamp cord on one side of the bed not able to reach a socket made for a less than outstanding stay.

“exceeded expectations”

This hotel is old and a little run down. It's certainly not much to look at on the outside. The inside is much cleaner than you would expect. The room was clean and the bathroom was large and newish. It did not have a funky smell or smell old or smokey. The bed was a little firmer than I like it, but still not uncomfortable. I slept well the two nights we were there. One "fear" of older motels is bugs, but we didn't see any and had no issues during our stay.

Ok for a stopover place. Affordable and the hotel staff was nice enough.

“Not impressed”

Old Motel in need of capital improvements to raise standards. Maintained to the extent it can be economically, but I probably would not go back. Good coffee though.

“Run down facility but courteous staff”

We stopped in Burlington overnight on our way to Boulder/Estes Park. We arrived late and left early. Check-in and check-out went smoothly and the staff was courteous. The room was small and rundown and the air conditioner made a lot of noise, but unlike so many cheap motel rooms, it did not smell like smoke.

“Marginal motel”

This old motel was acceptably clean but had very low water pressure. The recent interior room paint was garish in color and sloppy in application. The bathroom light was marginal in brightness and needed to be replaced. The good part is that it wasn't expensive.
