Cigarette smellPosted Dec 1, 2013
Pros: Generally quiet, has waffle iron and waffle mix in quickstart breakfast. Reasonably priced so families can afford. Clean, well maintained.
Cons: Need to have nonsmoker check that rooms are well aired and smoke from other rooms is not being ventilated into nonsmoking rooms.
Location: Location is easy to find. We visit and use motels in the area for family gathering. Easy access to eating out and shopping.
Had 2 rooms, nonsmoking, 1st floor. Closest one to the laundry had a terribly strong odor of old cigarrette smoke as if staff had been using that room to smoke in rather than going outside. Other room across the hall had some cigarrette odor but not as bad and unnoticable by third night of our stay. Had stayed in same hotel a year before on the second floor and did not have this problem.

It was okay for a one night stay.Posted Jul 19, 2013
Pros: Was quite convenient to Nauvoo, Ill. for a late night arrival.
Cons: More choice of fruit (just small apples and oranges available that didn't look very fresh).
Disappointed that staff were sitting outside the entrance smoking when I arrived about 10:30pm. It reeked of cigarette smoke when I entered

This is an older hotel. There are some cosmetic items that need to be addressed. The lobby is somewhat dated, but kept pretty clean. When we needed some extra towels and a pillow the staff was right there with the items. There were some stains on the carpet, and the beds were a little saggy. Breakfast consisted of cereal and waffles, and was good for a continental breakfast. The prices was the best for the value. We could have stayed at nearby hotels for 40 to 50 percent more. Since we stayed over a week here this was an important factor for us.

Very close to NauvooPosted May 23, 2013
Staff very welcoming... however the room had a broken outer window that the clerk said had already been reported. Door from room to parking area chained and deadbolted, but would not open to outside.

Can't say enough good things, traveling with a 80 lb lab and very pet friendly, this was a 5 star in my book!

1 night stayPosted Jan 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
After booking a queen room, we were given a room with 2 double beds. Also, was very disappointed that there were no cribs/pack n plays to borrow. Made for a very long night sleeping with a 1 year old. The mattresses were terrible! I am pregnant and it was hours after I "woke up" the next morning when my stomach stopped hurting. My husband and I both said that between having each sleep with a kid and the uncomfortable mattresses, we each only managed to get about 2 hours of sleep.

Fair value for the moneyPosted Oct 8, 2012 on Hotels.com
The room was very good. Breakfast was sufficient. The only problem encountered was that the internet did not work and the staff member that it was reported to didn't seem to care. She took no action to correct the issues. Luckily free Wifi was available a block away.

Great price, not a lot of extrasPosted Aug 11, 2012
Great price, not a lot of extras, but we felt safe and the breakfast was adequate.
