"Wonderful Respite from Mardi Gras Madness"
I arrived at the Ritz on Mardi Gras day. There was absolute madness in the streets of New Orleans. The Ritz was a true oasis. Lively, but not over the top. Friendly and fun staff, interesting fellow guests, and impeccable service. I had an incredible time. As a woman traveling alone I felt very safe in this location. Had a wonderful stay.

Pocket Guide: New Orleans Business District Marriott Historic Hotels

New Orleans Business District has become a mixed-use neighborhood with skyscrapers and corporate offices living among residential restored historic buildings. Some 19th century architecture has been preserved due to the city’s desire to maintain its cultural roots. Despite the corporate feel people flock to Historic Lafayette Square for free concerts and the theatres and cabarets in the area.
