“Wonderful stay - couldn't ask for more!”
After looking for a quiet, clean and safe hotel in the Butler area for a short business trip, I decided on Locust Brook Lodge instead. I don't have a lot of experience staying at B&Bs, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The house is a little difficult to find if you are driving in the dark, but once you are there, you'll be glad you decided to stay here instead of one of the outdated local hotels. Everything is clean and well-maintained. The house is very quiet - with the exception of the chattering frogs in the pond! The beds are comfortable and if you need anything from an iron to a hair dryer, the owner can provide it for you. My private bathroom had a whirlpool tub, which was great after a long day. One item of note is that the water pressure from the shower head left a little to be desired, but that was a minor inconvenience.
Breakfast was prepared fresh daily - French toast, fresh fruit, waffles - you name it. Everything was delicious and the owner was happy to accommodate my work schedule. The house is close to a working farm, complete with horses and cows, yet only a 5-minute drive from the shops and restaurants of the nearby Butler area.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a quiet, clean and restful place to stay while in the Butler area. I know that Locust Brook will be my #1 choice should my business travels take me there again!
