Very Disappointed

Posted May 9, 2014
We were in town for a family funeral. We stayed here for one evening. I was not impressed. The hotel was not super clean. The room was small. It was somewhat inexpensive ($69.99 per night), but I still thought the price was too high for the place.

Pros: Checking in and out was fast and easy and cheap price.
Cons: Have all lighting not be depended on outlets. Provide closed captioning on the televisions.
Location: Location was in a good spot.
It was fine. Could provide fruit with breakfast. Hairdryer did not work.

Dealers in the area

When I checked in, I was sent to a room on the third floor. After carrying everything up, I opened the door and the room had never been cleaned from the prior guest. I carried everything back down to the desk. The bedding was pretty disgusting. Cigarette burns, one thin old blanket, it was subzero temperatures, worn out pillows etc.. When someone stays in a hotel room, there are certain items that are extremely important, it starts with a clean comfortable bed and bedding...the heater in the room had no temperature control, I kept having to get up from my sleep to shut it off, to warm, then wake up too cold. These really are basics that need to be addressed.

Not bad for the price

Butler isn't a big town, so you're not going to find a Ritz. We were attending the Bluegrass festival across the street at the Days Inn, and like every year, that hotel was sold out. We needed a place to keep our instruments when we weren't playing and a bed to sleep in. The room did both. We had a few folks who couldn't drive back to Pittsburgh crash with us on the floor and in the recliner and we all had a good night's rest. The room was clean, as were the towels and bedding. The recliner was even not scary to sit on. I can't comment on breakfast, as we didn't go to bed until 4am and were too tired and hungover to think about food. They granted us a late checkout (thankfully), at no additional cost. If you're looking for a place to crash, it's a deal for the price.

No go no more

This is one hotel I will not be patronizing any time soon. Lousy hotel, lousy room, and the staff are so rude and obnoxious I could not believe it. They went as far as to accuse us of doing something we clearly had not done and told us we were not welcome back. Well they don't have to worry about that.

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE ~ the whole hallway where we stayed smelled of cigarette smoke, our non- smoking room did too. The door to the bathroom was broken and didn't latch. the chair at the desk looked like a cat attacked it. ripped to shreds. they said they had a Continental breakfast... if you want a bowl of cereal and a piece of toast and coffee ! That was all they had. Also they had us in a smoking room 1st because they said that was the infor they got from Hotels.com but I clearly had reserved a non smoking room ! It was on my resevation i printed out. Worse experince ever at a motel !!!!!!
