This hotel was an excellent choice for my brief stay - nearby food options, free internet, quiet and clean. I'd recomment it to anyone.

This is an older motel but very clean. I was very happy with the room. It was very clean. Hotel staff was helpful, polite and friendly. Prices are the best in town!! Grocery store across the street for late night snacks or hot foods to go. This was the third time I've stayed there so obviously I've been happy with the motel. I will definitely go there again when I'm in New Castle.

“Better than I expected”

I stayed here with some initial trepidation, but had little choice since I was attending a close relative's funeral, and the only other web-available alternative - closer than 12 miles from New Castle - was completely booked. However, the owners could not have been nicer and more accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable, and I slept well. Unfortunately, the smell of cigarette smoke in the halls is overwhelming, & a little bit does tend to seep into even a non-smoking room. Perhaps they should segregate smoking from non-smoking rooms better - but this may be an area with high tobacco use. Breakfast - cold or hot (waffle iron) was available the next morning as part of the price. I see no reason to avoid the Super-8, at least not for a single night's lodging. I can't believe the owners (perhaps new to the hotel?) would not try to be accommodating in any way they can.

“Only 2 motels in town”

I suppose this meets the qualifications of a 2-star motel - nothing special, but an ok place to stay. Bed & pillows were a bit uncomfortable, and A/C had a squeak that interrupted sleep. Nice to have a small frig in room, and the breakfast is a nice amenity.

Location was not convenient. No restaurants were close by. Not close to any amenities.

The room was very dirty but the people were very nice & tried hard to accommodate special requests.

“Bad timing and placement”

We stayed at Super 8 New Castle at the same time as a large construction crew. It was annoying listening to all their loud beepy trucks (by "beepy" I mean that loud noise that trucks make when backing up). Not only did we hear that at 5am, but we also had to listen to all the workers chatting loudly in the hallways early in the morning. Other than that, the hotel staff were very nice and the room was decent.

“you get what you pay for”

staff was friendly but the bed was not. it was great to have a refrigerator but not great that it had a constant high pitch hum that was so loud we could not sleep. the carpet had lots of stains and could have been cleaner. complementary breakfast would have been only ok if it was not depeleted so quickly. i was limited to toast or cold cereal. the room was large enough to accommodate our needs and the tv was new. the bathroom showed it's age but was clean. we got new bars of soap each day but no shampoo. even with all this i would still recommend this hotel for a new castle visit because there really isn't much choice for anything closer for the price.
