Excellent couple retreat

Posted Jan 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
An amazing and tranquil location with outdoor and indoor spa (queen rooms) to relax an indulge. The ability to get an onsite massage is an added bonus and I always come away feeling relaxed and recharged. Breakfast used to be included and was an absolute stand-out but they have recently stopped doing the breakfast which is a real shame. However, the voucher for breakfast at Byron Beach Cafe was a great surprise. Byron Bay has changed over the last 5 years and really is run-down and in need of an attitude change towards tourists. If you want a real treat, go to the Bangalow markets on the last Sunday of the month - it's a quaint surprise!

Stay was great except Hotels.com stuffed up the booking meaning we were left without breakfast which we were entitled to according to the Web Site. Fortunately Azabu saw our side of the story and included breakfast for us.

Great accom, great food, would return

Great little b and b type accommodation located in peaceful serenity a few kms out of Byron (a little hard to find at first due to Byrons streets not agreeing with our GPS) Lovely atmosphere, rooms were clean and well looked after. I think we only saw two of the other guests the entire stay at checkout. Not the biggest rooms around but we didn't find it to be a problem at all. The included breakfast was also great (and extremely filling!). And the manager is lovely. I would return to Azabu for sure.

Enjoy a relaxing break in a peaceful spot

Pros: The rainforest setting, outdoor hot tub and massage facility
Cons: Insects
Location: Beautiful, lush, forest - peaceful
Azabu has lovely character and is set in a very peaceful, rain forest setting. It's the perfect place for a relaxing getaway. The rooms are quite compact but have a balcony to enjoy if it's not raining. We had a lovely massage with Tanya which we can recommend. We're happy to recommend Azabu as a relaxing Byron Bay getaway and an alternative to the ocean stays.

Super relaxing in the woods of Byron!

Pros: In-room Jacuzzi, Open balcony in front of the bed, the view of Forest from the balcony and the lovely three course breakfast.
Cons: Wall mounted television and no separate shower/bath
Location: Little inside but very secluded and beautiful
It was an awesome experience!! Best part was the Jacuzzi in our room..so relaxing! Very secluded location. We could hear the birds chirping early morning...their noise was like a natural alarm.
