Well renovated and located in old city

Posted Oct 25, 2014 on Hotels.com
This would have been an ideal hotel located in the small and interesting old city of Caceres (not comparable to places like Toledo, Granada, Cordoba, Segovia, Ronda or Salamanca, but still worth visiting), if not for its noise and lack of parking (we arrived at the hotel after squeezing through many narrow streets only to discover that we had to spend the better part of an hour driving to a small underground car park in a newer part of town and returning to the hotel with our luggage). Our room was pleasant but very noisy due to its proximity to the reception (the echoing sound of bags being rolled on the granite floors and noisy late night arrivals and early departures made for a poor night's sleep -- avoid Room 101). Also, we found the service and food at the restaurant not quite up to normal Parador standards. On the positive side, the hotel, itself, was attractive, close to everything worth seeing in town and the desk staff was very helpful.

Centuries old buildings, modern service / comfort

Posted Aug 30, 2014
This parador regularly gets high marks for location in a historic city and for the successful makeover to provide modern facilities. The hotel seems fully disability friendly but steep medieval streets and stairways between parts of town and narrow cobbled streets make it problematic for those with mobility issues. Oh, don't expect easy car access or parking.

Beautiful Hotel in Amazing Location

Clean, very comfortable and quiet hotel in a central location of the beautiful, historic city of Cáceres. There seemed to be limited allocated parking spaces along the narrow streets close to the hotel.

Great hotel at outstanding location

Living in the past in today's luxury.. The outside dining facilities and the food is also worth mentioning. Additionally Caceres is a most interesting place in itself.
