Our overnight stay at Hotel Spa Cadiz Plaza
Posted Jan 30, 2011 on Hotels.com
Very easy to find as Hotel located just behind main sea-front, and is sign-posted as you enter the modern end of Cadiz. Location is ideal for those exploring Cadiz, nice walk along sea-front to Historic old Cadiz. Hotel does have limited sea-views, 4th floor reserved for smokers only - watch out if non-smokers, as we being non-smokers were initially given a room on the 4th floor!!! The Hotel had another room thankfully, and was not an issue for them to move to non-smoking room. As the majority of us these days are non-smokers, I thought this was a bad mark against the Hotel as we were not offered a non-smoking room in the first place, or even made aware that the 4th floor was smoking rooms only! Overall I can recommend the Hotel, but the breakfast service was very basic and in our view not good enough considering the price of its rooms!!!

Hotel Spa Cadiz

This hotel is good value for money. The location of this hotel is supreme, in the centre of town, with the beach just a 30 second stroll from the door. The long promenade is lined with restaurants, cafes and ice-cream bars. There are good basic facilitites, and a spa to boot. In addition, the staff are friendly and quite helpful, with suggestions and advice for local activities and trips. On the minus side, the breakfast is small and expensive, but you don't have to go far for a cheaper alternative. All round, it was perfect for what we needed. and we would recommend it.
