The surrounding location is nice but the experience was very disappointing. This hotel has no local flair: it is as if you were in Miami. We had a superior room in which we literally couldn't sleep. The AC was old, very noisy and stunk like habano cigar. The breakfast was very basic. All in all, extremely overpriced and not recommendable.

Lovely stay, nice place, would come back.
Amazing place midst in the vineyards. Excellent service, super friendly staff. Breakfast is fine too. Verry nice villas. The only improvement needed is the jacuzzi of the Master suite villa, it was not clean and the temperature was not adjustable (summer and water was way too hot). Only one jet stream of the 5 was working.

The property is gated and quiet with golf course.
The property is gated quiet and nice. The spa and pool area is dated and small. We were upgraded to a cabana room which had a full kitchen and living space with the bedroom upstairs. There is a golf course on the property nearby.

Nice facilities but not a 5 star service. The hotel property located 2km from the main entrance/gate and if you didn’t come with the car you have to call a cab or walk each time which in 30C plus degree heat maybe a challenge. The hotel doesn’t provide any drop offs to the gate. The town itself is close - 1km from the main gate but if you add another 2km to the gate it becomes a hike. The hotel rooms are nice and clean but miss some essential toiletries such as lotion which in the 20 per cent humidity becomes essential. I would stay somewhere else if you want a more attentive service.

Everything was perfect. Amazing location. Amazing service. If I can point 2 bad points; 1. The dinner under the star is not worth it. It's a BBQ with a LOT of meat overcooked. Everything was really hard. They had been cooking the meat waaayyy took long. Very disappointing for the price. The wine was not so good .. 2. The pool and spa is very dirty, a lot of moisture and the solarium is very dirty. They should have that clean professionally with a steamer. It would look way better. For an hotel of this type the cleanliness in the spa was a bit deceiving. All the rest was perfect.

Great rooms and great service and if you care more about the golf course than the town center, you couldn't have a better location either. The folks that have complained about the slowness of the breakfast staff need to take a chill pill. Everything doesn't happen in a NYC minute here ... But isn't that why you're here in the first place?

Facilities were good. The room was comfortable. The area was a bit out of the way for town, but close to the surrounding facilities for the immediate golf course and community. Area is extremely quiet. Dinner was excellent. Breakfast was wonderful. Was not offered an immediate upgrade at arrival without requesting it after the fact, inspite of being gold.

Our original booking with another property was cancelled and we ended up in the suite at the Grace Cafayate. The room was superb, and the view overlooking the vineyards were great, and the service was excellent On arrival one of the staff noticed that we had an under-inflated tyre. The receptionists were extremely helpful getting it repaired and even offered to change get the spare wheel put on.In dealing with the above there was a bit of a language barrier but we got round it by using a PC translator - in the morning there wasn't an issue

Poor is maybe a bit harsh, but after paying in excess of £400 (GBP) ($500 US) for 2 nights accommodation - just bed and breakfast - that swung it down from average. The whole place had a lack of soul and did not seem welcoming. Certainly not for travellers / adventurers who thought this might make a nice relaxing stopover after roughing it a bit elsewhere. It might well suit the golfing fraternity better. The room we got was the downstairs 'extra' room of part of a villa. It had the adjoining door mentioned in previous reviews, which we certainly felt uneasy about, and our 'room' had a 'granny flat' feeling to it. It had a noisy aircon that we switched off as much of the time as we could. (Not every aircon has to be noisy as we have experienced). There were facilities and services available but absolutely everything was an extra that costed money. For example, there was no complimentary water as you may get in many other hotels, there was no free access to bicycles as you do get on other vineyards and bodegas. That sort of thing. It was just a money making machine and wasn't worth what we paid at all. We would not go back, nor would we recommend at all.

Fantastic stay at Grace
Just back from a fantastic two night stay at Grace and we wished we had been able to stay longer. The hotel is set back quite a way from the main road and the hotel is laid out quite spacefully making it very peaceful. The setting is beautiful. There is a great spa offering the usual treatments as well as an indoor pool, steam room and jacuzzi. There is also a great outdoor pool and terrace. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to one of their suites which was incredible, the jacuzzi looking over the vines and a balcony being huge bonuses. The breakfast buffet is good and they have also offer lunch/dinner if you don’t want to head back into town. The hotel staff are also really helpful in offering to organise taxis / reservations at local wineries, although sometimes we were given slightly conflicting advice but this may have been more a translation / language issue more than anything else. I would definitely stay at Grace again and would recommend it to anyone thinking of thinking of visiting Cafayate.

A great hotel located in the middle of a real estate complex (part real estate investment that is the Estancia and the hotel). The hotel itself is apart of Grace hotel chains reputable for being luxurious (AKA American standards). The hotel room itself is quite big and a big bathroom. It's located a bit outside of Cafayate. Definitely worth a night or three visit.

We came to this hotel for honeymoon, so imagine the importance of this moment. I booked in advance the hotel room most luxurious and spacious, (according to the hotel site description) and consequently most expensive. On arrival, the hotel staff informed us that we were upgraded. The room we got was indeed very good, but at the end, checking the site to possibly extend an extra night, I found out that we were actually downgraded to a room that in fact was cheaper than the one I have made the reservation! I would have paid 80 usd less if I would have booked the room I was given when arrived! Though I have explained this to the hotel staff and apparently they informed the management, nothing was done to repair or compensate the situation! This is probably illegal what they have done. So be cautious when you book this hotel. I got so disappointed!

Stunning grounds, wonderful retreat
Set on >40 acres of forest and vineyards and surrounded by beautiful mountains, this place is special. We saw many foxes and enjoyed walking around the grounds. The rooms are very comfortable with heated floors, great views (most rooms) and an indulgent 2-person soaking tub. The breakfast buffet is wonderful also with homemade yogurt, eggs to order and gracious staff. We wished we could have stayed longer.

A jewel in the rough
We stayed in suite 204, a grand, super-spacious delight overlooking the vineyards of Cafayate and the mountains beyond. The Grace Cafayate overall is marvelous, easily the equal of top resorts in the other chic wine regions of the world, such as Napa, Douro, Cape Town, Rhone, and the like, all the more remarkable because Cafayate is so isolated, a tiny, dusty, simple town in the Salta province at the north end of Argentina. The staff was incredibly helpful, efficient, and friendly at all times, both in terms of pre-planning to book reservations at the region´s wineries and restaurants, as well as ideas that came up on the fly during our stay. As a result, we were able to visit and experience much more than we had originally planned, including bike riding among the vineyards, a fascinating museum of local archaeology, Pre-Columbian rock art at El Divisadero, and the endemic cactus. The Grace Cafayate restaurant is excellent as well.

Fabulous hotel in awesome location.
We were upgraded to a Villa for our stay over Christmas (not a busy week I think) and it was absolutely fabulous - 2 ensuite bedrooms witha HUGE lounge, kitchen, patio and outdoor jacuzzi with fablous views across the Vineyards to the Andes. The Spa (indoor and outdoor pools) was lovely as is the wider estate. We drove around the rest of the Estancia, a private, gated community with golf club, club house and various plots being built on (slowly) by their owners. The hotel is on the Estancia and a good 45 mins walk to town (10 in the car). I'd say a car was a must. The breakfast was top quality and the views from the Restaurant to die for. We ate lunch and our Xmas Eve meal at the hotel and both were very good if pricey (as you'd expect from a hotel of this quality). Highly recommended as a base for touring/visiting or just relaxing as we did.

We spent 2 days and it was just SPECTACULAR ! The service , room confort , breakfast , location (quite and beatifull within a wineyard) and the personal service from all employees ( helpfull and nice). Only the gym is missing but the spa is great

The hotel is located on the grounds of the Estancia de Cafayate which has an excellent golf course, pro shop, health club, horseback riding, and restaurant. Spectacular views. All this located just minutes from the center of town.

Great facilities but misrepresent access
Hotel as represented except for two major factors: (i) you must pay 300 pesos per person per day to have access to the gym at the Estancia DESPITE the fact that the website clearly states multiple times that hotel guests have full access to ALL of the Estancia facilities including the gym. In fact, the concierge indicated that if the Estancia was too busy, there was NO access,even if you pay the amount noted; and (ii) access to a staff member fluent in English is limited to the day shift.

Fantastic Hotel / resort in a quaint little town.
Grace Cafayate hotel and spa has it all. The scenery is marvellous with mountains and wine vineyards surrounding this magnificent property. The attention to details is very much noticed and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Luxurious hotel in stunning valley location
The hotel is set in a huge vineyard in a valley surrounded by mountains with stunning views. The condition of the hotel is top-notch and the staff is friendly and helpful. A spa is included in the grounds which offers good value treatments. The rooms are spacious and clean, particularly the bathrooms. Definitely recommended.
