Great hotel stay, lovely spacious rooms, nice modern bathrooms. Grounds and facilities are also good. Downsides are the service at breakfast was so slow, and also service at lunch at the golf club. Food quality was average when it eventually arrived. Didn't eat supper at the hotel due to our exoerience at breakfast & lunch. That aside we had a pleasant stay.

My wife and I spend two nights in Cafayate and found this hotel to be a wonderful experience. The room was large and well appointed. The architecture fit a wine lodge in a vineyard. We felt that it had a "Southwest" type design and motif, but in the Spanish colonial tradition. The vineyards surronding the wine lodge highlighted the theme and ambiance. The staff was attentive and helpful. The breakfeast was fresh and offered a nice range of breakfast foods. We ate dinner there one night, and enjoyed the meal. There was a limited but nicely chosen selection of wines and these were reasonably priced.
The wine lodge was situated a short drive to the center of town along a dirt road. We would not recommend walking into town.

The room and especially the inner courtyard were well-designed and decorated. Disappointing was the cleanliness and the lack of interest of the staff. They helped whenever we had a question or problem but gave the impression that they wished we hadn't disturbed them. The breakfast was basic and disappointing.

May be difficult to find and 20kms outside Cafayate, but it is worth the effort. We were offered tasting of their wines before dinner. Arrived late but were blown away by the stunning location when we woke. In the canyon with views of the Quebrada de Cafayate and the vines in the foreground. Arizona meets Cape winelands.Quiet and restful. So much so, we were reluctant to leave.
The hotel looks new and is fitted out with local timber features, beautifully made desks, tables and bathroom sinks.
My husband and I travelled around much of Argentina,Chile, Uruguay and Brazil over four weeks and this was one of the nicest hotels we stayed in.
