Good place to stay for exploring SE coastPosted Sep 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
This small hotel was a good point for exploring the SE coast and dune beaches. The rooms were in fine condition but ours had a shower door tha would allow water to pool in the bathroom. It was a little annoying but we didn't complain. There's a great pool and the on site restaurant was nice. Service was great. There's a grocery store next to the hotel as well.

A most relaxing breakPosted Jul 25, 2013
Pros: Style of build, decor and friendly stafg
Cons: Breakfast selection - limited, but great for those who love cakes
Location: Strange, it's placed in a random wee village and a car makes big difference as not much to walk and see near hotel.
What we wanted was a quiet, relaxing break and this hotel delivered just that. As a previous reviewer commented the location is puzzling, but apparently, the owner owned that piece of land and decided to build her dream there. We went mid July and expected it to be busy, however, it was really quiet (it was meantioned ferry prices from mainland Italy have increased dramatically; so that's impacted trade). As such, there were days when it was only us by the pool; made us feel like we were at private villa with personal staff on hand. My only constructive comments would be that the sound proofing between rooms wasn't the best, but wasn't so bad that it bothered us and the breakfast selection was slightly limited. However, that said, the hotel has been designed beautifully, the staff were fabulous and I left feeling truly refreshed and determined to leave feedback for the first time ever!

Excellent servicePosted May 31, 2013 on Hotels.com
Peaceful surroundings, a perfect location to escape to. The staff were very helpful with all questions and recommendations on things to do. They also went above and beyond with little touches that mean a lot - "happy birthday" written in chocolate on my cappucino, honey and lemon drink for my sick girlfriend. Excellent drives in the surrounding countryside - something for everyone.

Thartes Hotel: A world apart in Guspini!Posted Sep 25, 2008
Just spent 5 days at the Thartes Hotel and haven't got anything bad to say about it, apart from its location! Guspini is not a touristic town adn there is very little to do there (even finding a restaurant is difficult) but on the positive side things are very cheap (spaghetti lobster cost me 10 Euros!) and Guspini is in a central location with easy access to the main roads connecting the Island. The nearest beach is just 20 min away and there are several to choose from. There are also many "Agriturismo" in the area if you fancy a very traditional meal. The hotel itself is very nice and quaint, the staff is very friendly and flexible (it wasn't an issue to change our room at arrival) and the food at the restaurant is top quality (though pricey, specially taking into account the area). Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel providing that you have a car to visit other towns/places in the South of Island.

Lovely but remotePosted Aug 13, 2008
Great hotel but to be honest we couldn't understand why it had been built in such a remote area. There's nothing much to see or do for miles-and Guispini itself has no decent restaurants or shops to speak of. If you are happy with pool/bar/restaurant type holiday and don't wish anything else then this would be perfect-otherwise it is really too far from anything.

What a fabulous hotel!Posted Dec 2, 2007 on Hotels.com
This hotel is without doubt, one of the best hotels that we have ever stayed in. The room was immaculate and luxurious, the main hotel and gardens were thoughtfully designed and beautifully kept and the restaurant and the food was 1st class. Most significantly though, the hotel and restaurant staff were welcoming and attentive throughout our stay. We will definitely be going back next year!

An oasis in the middle of nowherePosted Sep 7, 2007
Beautiful setting, spacious room, excellent service, from reception to top restaurant. I wished they gave something hot for breakfast too instead of only continental. The swimming pool is like a beach, and has a relaxing cascade. I cannot wait to return and spend at least 3 days there.
