Beautiful bungalows near the beachPosted Dec 23, 2013
Pros: The breakfast, the clean and beautiful bungalows, the hammock, the hosts, and Rocky the dog
Location: Playa Negra, Playa Blanca, Cahuita National Park, Restaurants in Cahuita (specifically - El Girasol, the French Riviera, Sobre Las Olas, and ReggarBar
My girlfriend and I just got back from our trip to Cahuita, Costa Rica where we stayed at the Coral Hill Bungalows. It was an awesome vacation. Chris and Joe are amazing hosts along with their dog Rocky. They have a great knowledge about things to do in the area and are fun to talk to as well. They make delicious breakfasts for you every morning which consist of fresh fruit platters, fresh locally baked croissants, breads, and other pastries. Finally if you are still hungry they offer to make other food as well. We went with this on two mornings and had pancakes (they were delicious!). They also lent us crocs (rubber sandals) to use for our stay there, since the first day we got our shoes soaked while visiting the cahuita national park.

Beutiful and close to the beachPosted Apr 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
The bungalows were beutiful and only a short walk to the beach. Each morning we woke to the sound of monkeys and saw alot of other interesting wildlife roaming around the grounds. This is a small privatley owned property of only 3 bungalows. The owners home is on the property as well and they make a healthy breakfast each morning. No other hotel amenities to speak of but the bungalows are good size and comfortable.

Romantic rainforest getaway exceeds expectationsPosted Feb 18, 2013
Pros: helpful hosts, homemade breakfast, wild animals hanging out around our bungalow, provided sunscreen, bug spray and aloe for sunburns, BIG SHOWER
Cons: Wi-fi a little spotty, but we eventually found the best spots in our bungalow to get it working.
Location: Safe. Cahuita remains mostly untouched by waves of tourists. The beach was five minutes away by walking.
Our hosts prepared delicious breakfasts every morning between 7 and 9 a.m. We got lots of fresh fruit, chocolate croissants, apple bread, eggs, focaccia and bacon. Our hosts also set up our canopy tour for us and offered useful advice on where to eat and the best days to snorkel. Loved the hammocks on our front porch. There's also secure parking if you rent a car! Other reviews mentioned loud rain on the tin roof as a problem. IT'S THE RAINFOREST, of course it's going to be loud. But it's not bad or annoying; in fact, we fell asleep fastest on the nights it rained. We stayed in the "Mono Congo" bungalow. SUCH A ROMANTIC, FUN GETAWAY SPOT! <3

Superb hosts, awesome breakfast.Posted Oct 15, 2012
Pros: The room, the owners, the breakfast.
Cons: Shower temperature was hard to modulate.
This was a great place to stay for our 10th anniversary. The owners, Joe and Chris, were very friendly and gracious. They helped choose and arrange tours and local sightseeing, and even arranged a taxi for us when we got into town later than planned. The resort itself comprises three identical bungalows, plus a larger house where the owners live. Each one was very private, with its own bedroom, bathroom, and a cozy front porch. The owners' house has a large open area where they serve breakfast. Nicely landscaped pathways connect the house and the bungalows, and are lit at night About that breakfast: it's really amazing! Everyday we were treated to fresh baked goods with homemade jams and local fruits, and dark roasted local coffee. I tried hard to think of negatives or drawbacks to this place and could only think of a few. They're not really drawbacks, but rather reasons you might not want to stay here. - They do have a German Shepherd named Rocky, so if you don't like dogs you should take that into account. - Though not stated explicitly, this place seems to be set up for couples and adults. If travelling with kids, I would at least try to find some reviews to see if kids are welcome. From my perspective (first vacation sans kids) it was nice not to have kids around. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place if you're staying in Cahuita,

Beautifully Appointed CottagesPosted Feb 6, 2012
This is one of the most beautiful cottages we have stayed in over a ten trips to Costa Rica. Fabulously appointed cottages with all the trimmings of a fine hotel. The hosts are gracious and full of information.
