Recommend this hotel for a basic typePosted Sep 3, 2014
Pros: see above
Cons: offer a free shuttle ride to/from CBD and airport
Location: close to bus stop. about a 15-20 min walk to CBD.
Easy location on busy street with bus stop out front for hopping on/off. Basic room with 2 beds, nothing fancy but never in room. Was disappointed my room was at the front of hotel on busy street with lots of street/auto noise. wish I had requested a room in the rear, away from the street. had to wear ear plugs to dampen the street noise. liked the free included breakfast with a nights stay. took a dip in the pool (that was not entirely clean but wanted to cool off). they also lock the front door & reception is closed after like 8 or 9 pm (i think) so you have to enter around the side locked gate, which is good to keep 'wanderer's" away or those lurking for trouble. my room did not have a bathroom but it was shared down the hall but bathroom was clean. ask for a pool towel at reception. sort of disappointed they have a van/shuttle parked in front but never saw it leave & when I inquired about a pick up from the greyhound bus stop in town (less than 10 min away) they said they don't pick up hotel guests in town. really???? you cant pick me up and I am staying 2-3 nights at your hotel? Thought that was disappointing and they DO NOT pick up/drop off guests at the airport (15 min away). I have stayed at budget hostels where they offer COMPLIMENTARY shuttle rides to/from town (the CBD) and/or the airport. other than that this was a basic hotel for a fair price. on our way out the front desk person was very nice to talk about our Oz adventures and Cairns in general thanks

Queens court - welcoming and spaciousPosted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: welcoming staff and cute motel
Great place to stay, staff are very welcoming and the room was both clean and spacious. Situated 15/20 minutes walk away from the centre of Cairns.

Very DisappointedPosted Aug 28, 2014
Bad, very outdated rooms. Plaster was coming of the walls.

A one night stayPosted Aug 28, 2014
A great hotel to stay close to the city. We live up in the Atherton Tablelands and a late flight into Cairns made it easier to travel home in the morning.

Hotel with really nice people and location!Posted Aug 23, 2014
Pros: People and location
Cons: Sound proofing
Location: I went on an island day trip and the port was only about a mile from the hotel. I went to an opal "mine" ( simulation of a mine) and a short movie.
The people were all so nice: from the reception desk, kitchen staff to the room cleaners! I loved this hotel. The only drawback was I could hear people talking outside my room and in my room next door. I was always so tired that I slept quickly, anyway!

cairns queens courtPosted Aug 7, 2014
Cairns Queens Court What a let down, we stayed there for a 6 day holiday trip to Cairns. They have a three section property A, B and C. C is the new building the one they use for advertising on their web site. FALSE ADVERTISING A and B is old and lacks modern facilities, tiled floors the beds old and they slide across the floor. En suite the shower floods the small room. Would not recommend anybody to this hotel.

Great staff!Posted Aug 6, 2014
Pros: The staff were wonderful, helpful, and helped us to book appropriate tours and with directions to wherever we wanted to go.
Cons: Fresh fruit for breakfast would be so much better than tinned.
Location: Easy walk along boardwalk to swimming lagoon & boat pier for reef tours etc. Bus stop outside for Palm Cove and northern beaches, and Botanic Gardens.
Chosen for good location, close to airport (taxi only $20!) and often last pickup point for tours heading north. Hotel has a variety of rooms; ours was quite basic motel room, upstairs with no lift. Continental breakfast buffet starts at 6pm, so good for early tours. Comfortable seating around the pool and the barbecue. Laundry and washing line very useful.

Convenient hotel near to airport and city centrePosted Aug 1, 2014
Good basic hotel, no frills at a good price. Suffers from some early morning road noise from Sherriden Street. Basic breakfast. General facilities good. Room was clean and well appointed.
