“Best Place to Stay in Cairns for 3 or More Days”

Donovan, Kay, and Frances are superb hosts who made this stay extraordinary. The hotel itself could not be better located, anywhere between a 1-5 walk from everywhere you can walk to in Cairns, right in the heart of the action. The apartment style added tremendous value for us as we made full use of the kitchen and the separate living area makes a huge difference when a night owl is married to an early riser. We did laundry twice in the room during our extended stay which allowed us to pack less and be much more efficient with out time. The bed was a touch saggy, but other than that we have no complaints about the room. If possible, book room 36, 37, 38, or 39 for the best of the limted water views that are available. The staff was fantastic even though the reception desk is not 24 hours. Everything we needed to do in Queensland they were able to set up before and during our arrival, and everything they set up for us resulted in our getting VIP level service. Frances worked with us for weeks before our arrival to help set up the perfect itinerary for a couple who loves scuba diving just as much as the rainforest. For any couple or family staying more than a few days in Cairns I cannot imagine a better place to stay than Il Palazzo.
