“Awesome!”

I booked a room for a special rate. The room was huge, with a balcony view of the water! Was super clean! Front desk was very friendly and helpful. 2 min walk to the piers (for going out to the barrier rief). Perfect location right in the middle of everything. Can't say enough good things about this place. It was the cheapest price and probably the best hotel in Cairns! Even if it wasn't the cheapest (but def wasn't the most expensive even at full price), it's totally worth it.

“Cairns Trip”

I found the hotel experience very easy and hassle free. The location, check in, parking and help was all trouble free. The hotel room was comforting and meet all my needs, nothing stood out to me as an issue. I would definitely stay there again and the location is unbeatable!!! Enjoy...

“Better than Expected!”

Since we expected to have the usual hotel room we were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a one bedroom harborside view...much like a time share condo. No ice machines in building but a full-size refrigerator in unit. Bought ice at Woolworth's - only a block away - 5 min walk. Can also buy food and sundries at Woolworths. Liquor, beer and wine can be found by walking thru Woolworth's and turning left as you exit. Very convienent location - highly recommend this hotel! Not luxurious but very nice and close to everything! Also - very important - has a civilized smoking policy - smoking allowed on balconies/no smoking in rooms so everyone is happy! Additionally, tours pick up here at hotel - recommend Hartley's Crododile Farm - fun and educational!

“Great Hotel”

Great 1 bedroom apartment, clean and with full amenities. Views out over the park and lagoon and down to the sea were wonderful. We got a good deal (4 nights for the price of 3) which made a good price great. Easy walking distance to Marina, sea front, shops etc. We would recommend to anyone.

“Perfect Location”

This hotel was wonderful in all respects. The location, directly in the center of the Esplanade area, is perfect for everything - the shops and restaurants, as well as walking to the marina for the day trips to the Reef. Plus, there is an amazing Woolworth's located just a block behind the hotel where you can buy items for your stay. I was in a hotel room and had a refrigerator, and I understand that the apartments have full-sized kitchens. This hotel does not offer maid service daily, so if this is important to you, you might want to stay elsewhere. However, it wasn't a big deal for us, considering we were only there for three days. You can also pay for maid service at $25/visit. Small charges apply for extra towels, etc. But with the price (especially considering the location), this hotel is a great value, even if you pay extra for cleaning, etc. And I can't forget the very helpful front desk staff - they were great! Highly recommended!

I had a great stay at the Mantra, staff were always friendly and willing to help with any questions I had. The room was comfortable and I had no problems.

“Great Location and View”

The view was great, even though it was a city view room (lots of water and still viewed the lagoon and any entertainment there) much better than expected. In the suite part bedroom a 30cm old school tv (not LCD) without half the channels was crazy at a place in the room where it was uncomforable to watch. Both rooms had king singles joined together for the Queen sized beds and the most uncomfortable pillows. However, great service from the front office staff, a great location, and nice views equals that the hotel exceeded my expectations.

“Not Impressed”

Not as good as the thought of a 4.5 star hotel.

“Top location”

Right across the road from the waterfront, market and the huge swimming lagoon. Easy walking distance to nice restaurants, shops etc. and a great pub downstairs. Only negative was cleanliness of room was average, but great ocean views made up for it.
