“By the sea”

The Room was very clean and spacious. The meal in the hotel was very well prepared and resonably priced. One main feature of the service is the hourly shuttle bus to and from the city.

“Lovely Hotel”

The Mercure Harbourside is a lovely hotel, I stayed here Nov 09 and had a great experience. All the staff were really friendly and helpful, especially Dickie who provided extremely useful advice on all the different excursions on offer, as well as being a great laugh. The room was extremely spacious and clean and the park area at the back is very peaceful and beautiful. The only small drawback was that it's a 15 minute walk to the town centre, but with a complimentary hourly shuttle bus running until 11pm everyday it's not really much of a problem. Overall the stay was a very pleasant one and I would definately stay there again.

“Nice view”

Nice quiet hotel with a swimming pool. Just a little our of Cairns city center but with a shuttle service into town. Nice big rooms, some with view on ocean. Good & quiet air conditioning.

Great service - staff very friendly and willing to help if needed Location on the esplanade was good but needed to use the very reliable hourly free shuttle bus to get in and out of CBD Cairns . I would be very happy to recommend this hotel and to stay there again

“Great service”

The staff went out of their way to be helpful in all respects whether it be hotel or tourist related info. Very clean, comfortable, opposite the Esplanade walk and beach and I liked the fact it was further away from the busy end of the Esplanade.

“Great place to stay”

Friendly service, really comfortable beds, great views to the ocean, quiet and well equipped room. Will definitely stay again. Also, we checked in an hour early without any problems. Definitely recommend paying a bit more for an ocean view room.

“Dont think twice”

Not necessarily one of the most luxurious but definitely good enough for a comfortable stay. Probably best value for money and only 10 minutes walk from downtown on the waterfront. Did we get the service - oh yes Value for Money - cant be any better Location - Right across the beach Food - Yum!! Best Mango Sorbet in the whole world (served with Fruit plate) Revisit - Cant wait for next visit. Dont think twice and go for it.

“Check your bill”

A nice place to stay, although the room could have been cleaned better as we moved one of the beds and found chopsticks and other rubbish under it. Also on check out when we checked our bill it had a number of mistakes on it totalling around the $400 mark so make sure you check your bill.

“Nice but could have some improvement”

The hotel room was nice. The bathroom had mold in the grout and the bathtub wasnt very clean as there was still hair in the drain, which was from previous guest. I also could smell stale urine. I was also unimpressed with the availability of parking. The only place we could park was in an unused driveway across the road from the hotel as all other places were taken. I was amazed at how few parks the hotel provides for its quests. The car we own has a high value. The hotel as a whole was nice but the cleanliness of the bathroom and the parking most certainly has to be addressed.
