“Not impressed”
The hotel anounces itself as four stars, but they do not give four stars service. You have to bring your luggage to your room and the room service is only partially done (they do not make the bed for instance, they just pull the sheets up to cover it). Some of the furniture was falling into pieces. But it was not that bad after all. I mean after one goes over the initial shock. Also, relative to the overall experience in Australia it was not that bad, because service in general is poor or non existant all over the country for North American standars.
“Good Location but room is not as good”
Although location is excellent (conveniently located in the center of the city), room itself is not as good. There was funny musty smell (it is mostlikely due to tropic environment & specific to rainy season. Perhaps the other hotels were similar but I cannot tell...) Bathroom is clean but I expected the level to be a little higher as well..Not a bad place though if you are looking for just a place to sleep, except Saturday night. (There is a huge club close by, it was pretty noisy until around 4 am...)
