“Superb Hotel in a great location”

Location was Ideal & the facilities was spot on , the only problem was the weather ,we was in cairns in february & the Tropical! weather spoiled the visit - when it rains it lasts for hours . We went on the Kuranda/barrier reef day trip & would advise this trip to anyone

“best location!”

great location, just opposite esplanade .The place is near all great restaurants. The place is central to all pick up points for tours. we booked a room with queen bed but were upgraded to a sea view room with 2 double beds.

“Extremely enjoyable stay”

Only criticism was the freezer compartment in our room (601) would not freeze anything.

“Good location, comfortable hotel”

On esplanade, a short walk to shops and dining. Rooms are nice, but the exterior in need of painting. Shows signs of age. Stayed here 6 years ago when it was better. Still a solid 3 star.

“What a view”

For once a room with an ocean view which was really spectacular. Good size room with all facilities. Lovely hotel grounds and pool and first class service from the staff at the tour desk

“good location and price”

Friendly staff, good sized rooms and balcony, nice pool, good breakfast, make sure you get the vouchers from reception for it so its $15 rather than $25. A little walk to town but only a few mins and far enough away so you don't hear all the noise at night. Would stay again.

“I would recommend this hotel”

This is a real nice hotel but it is a bit dated. The people were nice to work with. The hotel charges you for every little thing, such as towels to use at the pool. I felt like I was a bit nickel and dimed to death. The esplande in front is great for picking up buses, etc. It is about a five to ten minute walk to where the action is but it is a nice walk. We got charged for an extra movie and I didn't catch it on the bill so please be careful when checking out.

“Great staff”

Staff were great and gave us discounts to the buffet and movie tickets. Room was nice, my only complaint is that the air conditioning unit was extremely loud (even when turned off in our room) that it was difficult to get to sleep for a while. Good location, easy to park on the street in low-season. We were also upgraded to an ocean view room as the hotel was quiet.
