It was truly amazing!Posted Apr 12, 2015
The apartment was huge, the pool fantastic, the staff very nice, being a self catering and not a hotel I was afraid to feel at home again having to do shopping, cleaning... but it was ok in the end, All the restaurants are around the corner, definetly need a rental car to visit everywhere... But trully enjoyed it!

Sanctuary = Superb propertyPosted Mar 28, 2015
Three-night stay; superb quiet complex; terrific spacious unit; wonderful large pool. The first of a dozen eateries is 3 minutes' walk away. The Palm Cove esplanade is a sleepy but can be busy in the evenings. The beach is wide and wonderful. If you like fishing bring your equipment and get out on the jetty in the early evening. Otherwise, dine at your choice of restaurant. 25 km from Port Douglas.

We Came to Escape, Relax and Unwind and We DidPosted Mar 18, 2015
Pros: The abundance of equipment in the unit, the 25m lap pool, the proximity to the eateries, the large comfortable unit.
Cons: The lounge seating.
Location: Palm Cove has a street full of quality eateries offering a variety of menus for all three meals and snacks. It is a quiet location for adults.
I chose the Sanctuary Palm Cove because of the luxury, unit facilities, proximity to the restaurant strip and the 25m lap pool. It filled all of these requirements and gave a little bit more. The unit had everything we wanted for our stay. Often when we stay at holiday units we find that they have the bare minimum of stuff particularly in the kitchen. However, our unit had an abundance of crockery, cutlery, cooking implements, glassware, appliances etc - as much or more than we have in our own home. The unit has split system air conditioning, ceiling fans and lots of opening windows so we were able to tailor the temperature to suit the conditions. The master BR and ensuite were very comfortable and clean. Being located on the corner of Cedar Road and Williams Esplanade, the Sanctuary is walking distance to all the Palm Cove activities - we had a hire car initially but decided that we didn't need it and could walk or catch the frequent public bus to where we wanted to go. The only downside to the unit was the lounge seating. It was a cane chaise lounge and was not particularly comfortable especially as we chose to spend a lot of time in the unit reading or watching movies on the large LCD TV. A major factor in deciding on the Sanctuary over the other establishments in Palm Cove was the 25m lap pool. We used it nearly every day for lap swimming. It was clean, and the right temperature for lap swimming in the tropics - ie not too warm and not too cool.

Great Palm Cove apartmentsPosted Jan 5, 2015 on Hotels.com
A lovely block of apartments in Palm Cove. The grounds are looked after exceptionally well; and the apartments themselves are as you would expect for a 5-star apartment-hotel in the tropics. Rare for Australia. Special mention must be made to the staff there. They were friendly, sharp and knew all the best tours and locations in the area. The only negative I can think of is the lack of bath/shower gel and shower cap in the apartment. I expect to find both in 5-star accommodation. All-in-all a great place to spend some time!

Highly recommend!Posted Jan 3, 2015 on Hotels.com
Great location -fantastic staff! We had a wonderful stay at Sanctuary Cove - the apartments are very spacious, well equipped and so close to the beach and the promenade. The staff was very accommodating and helped us plan our excursions and days - even helping us find deals and special rates. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Palm Cove in large part due to their hospitality.

Excellent Palm Cove accommodationPosted Nov 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed for a 10 day relaxing break - and we got it. Quiet and peaceful setting, surrounded by trees, etc. with pool and lily pond/lake. Quality of the accommodation and Management was excellent. Palm Cove is a wonderful place.
