Kempinski never disappointsPosted Sep 10, 2013
Pros: The staff; customer service was outstanding.
Cons: A little more shade around the pool.
Great service produced by amazing staff. All staff couldn't do enough for us and were always friendly and often intuitive...they suggested things before we had even thought about it. Totally recommend the pillows; they were heaven and made a good night's sleep, absolutely superb.

Amazing!Posted Jun 18, 2013
Such an amazing luxurious hotel with a beautiful balcony with river view. Very clean, staff are very professional, super comfy. I mentioned while booking on expedia that we are a honeymooner, they sent us a complimentary tart and desserts. Definitely recommended!

Great for Business or Adults on VacationPosted Jun 10, 2013
Pros: Free Wifi, Gym, Central Location
Cons: Lack of casual dining; Overpriced Breakfast
Having stayed at several hotels throughout Cairo, I would definitely go back to the Kempinski. There were several things that I liked about the hotel and that made it suitable for a mix of business and social travel. First, the FREE Wifi! Most hotels in Cairo have not figured out that this is important to young and savvy business travelers. I considered staying at the Four Seasons because the room rates were comparable, but when I realized that the Wifi there would cost as must as the hotel room, I opted for the Kempinski. Second, there is a nice gym. Third, the staff was attentive but not fawning. The downsides: Breakfast was over priced. Adding a casual coffee shop to this hotel - maybe a Starkbucks, Doree, or Costa - would do wonders because there is really nothing like that in the neighborhood and I didn't need or want a big production breakfast on a weekday. In addition, sometimes the service was a little slow, but it wasn't so bad that I would not go back. I would go back.

Beautiful hotel overlooking the NilePosted May 29, 2013
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff View of the Nile Clean, comfortable, modern and mostly new furnishings
Cons: On more than one occasion, hotel staff entered our room without knocking!
Location: Close to the Corniche, a short stroll through Garden City to Tahrir and the rumble of downtown. An easy taxi ride to the nicer restaurants in Zamalek.
A friend and I stayed here for her last night in Cairo. Beautiful view of the Nile from the Jazz Bar, although the pool is small the rooftop is a world away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Cairo. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

Traveler from DubaiPosted May 25, 2013
Overall a pleasant hotel in chaotic Cairo, clean, quiet and excellent staff attendance. Access to the hotel is pretty difficult from near its location, Garden city. Excellent soup and food at the Turkish floor on the Mezzanine floor. However, the Turkish coffee was perhaps the costliest in Cairo and perhaps can compete for the most expensive per sip of coffee. Also didn't like that you try to up sell drinks any order you make. The staff were attentive, friendly, especially the front desk.
