Hotel and staff were okay. Clean but old.

Posted Apr 11, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff. Clean.
Cons: Internet, call a taxi for customers
Location: Right by the pyramids
They made us use their hotel car at twice the price of a taxi. Free internet was in the lobby only and was slow and dropped all the time. First day got 1 bottled water but cost after that.

Dear M. Billy, Thank you for your comments following your recent stay at Le Méridien Pyramids Hotel & Spa. Your kind comments regarding our hotel and staff are very much appreciated and will be passed on to all concerned. I would like to apologize for the fact that the internet connection was slow. Our services are currently provided by a third party, which was contracted a number of years ago. This contract is, however about to terminate and I do assure you that we are actively perusing alternative options, which will enable us to offer this service to our clients in future at a substantially improved connection speed. It is my hope that these events will not permanently mar your opinion of our hotel and that you will return to us again, when I am sure you will remember your stay for all the right reasons. Hotell i gangavstand fra Pyramiden

Posted Apr 8, 2015
Pros: Beliggenheten var fin, svømmebasseng og uteområde bra, personalet hyggelig.
Cons: Air Condition anlegget
Location: Nær pyramiden
Hotellet var helt ok, maten ok og personalet hyggelig. Det som gjorde oppholdet mindre bra var at lufteanlegget virket ikke og rommet ble uutholdelig varmt.

Nice hotel near Pyramids of Giza

Posted Apr 8, 2015
My overall experience was great. I love the fact that this hotel is walking distance from the pyramids of Giza. It's incredible to wake up to a view of the pyramids.

5 Sterne in Ägypten sind 2 Sterne bei uns...

Posted Mar 31, 2015

Great location close to Pyramids

Posted Mar 30, 2015
Pros: Proximity to Pyramids Restaurants Bars
Cons: Room was dated and a bit shabby, although bed and bedding was excellent Water and Tea/coffee making facilities in room would be good
Location: Close enough to see Pyramids and walk if you want to
A short trip specifically to see Pyramids at Giza Had booked a tour which due to misunderstanding did not happen but the concierge Reda organised a guide for us - Seham. She was great, lots of information about Egypt generally but also Pyramids and museum Unfortunately, room was at front of hotel and meant a lot of noise from traffic.

Great hotel close to the pyramids.

Posted Mar 21, 2015
Pros: The location can not be topped. Friendly staff, I mean everyone is eager to help you with your stay.
Cons: The staff, however friendly, is not experienced. They assumed I knew a lot about the hotel features that I did not.
Location: The Giza location is the best for visiting the pyramids and surrounding area
A terrific hotel in a terrific location. I checked in Sunday for four days. The room was really beautiful with a lot of features I had not seen before (more on that later). The feature that takes your breath away is that when you open your curtains you are looking at the last remaining original "Seven Wonders of The World". The view of the pyramids from your own room can't be exaggerated! Very friendly staff (more on that later) and all kinds of shopping right in the hotel. This is a very clean and well maintained hotel.

The pool is great. The Spa is very good but not enough staff there, the water+lemon jar were finished and has not been refilled for more than an hour and I did not find anyone to ask. The room was good, but the toilet was very bad for a such big chain hotel. The hot water shower was yellow and I have to wait for about a minute so it returns clear. The fire alarm was not working properly and it gives an alarm every time I take a shower. Overall it is a good hotel but needs some maintenance and consideration from the owners.

Near the Pyramids which is great, but hotel is old

Posted Mar 16, 2015
Pros: Friendly service.
Cons: Internet and food.
Location: Next door to the Pyramids!
The location can't be beat, however the hotel is not updated. Internet is spotty in rooms. Tourism is down in Egypt and there really is no money to improve hotels like this one. You should go to Egypt and help the economy recover.

Really good Meridien near the Pyramids

Posted Feb 28, 2015
Pros: The rooms
Location: The pyramids
We had a very pleasant and satisfying stay at the Meridien. Not only were the staff very helpful in arranging a good tour and a very nice guide (Moustafa was awesome), they also allowed us to extend the checkout time to accommodate our entire tour. Our room was huge, and the hotel is literally a stone throw away from the pyramids. The lobby has free Wifi.
