Great hotel, great location

The Meridien hotel is a great jumping off point to explore the pyramids, or anywhere in Cairo. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the food was very good as well. We would definatly stay again!

A nice hotel for a great memory :)

The hotel is a cheap price for a 5-stars hotel, that looks at the pyramids. So clean, neat and quiet. My only remark is they did not put kleenex boxes around! Other than that, it's an amazing choice...

Total ripoff

Posted Feb 2, 2015
The room was okay, but only after I changed rooms. The first room wasn't even fit for the crock roaches I'm sure lived there. They charged us an exorbitant price for transportation to and from the airport and gave us problems when confronted about it.

Very close to the pyramids, this hotel is an excellent choice for staying in Giza. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.:-). No free Wi-Fi in the rooms, but you can use it in the lobby. Definitely I will rec to all friends and looking forward to go back

Buyer be aware in Cairo

Posted Jan 9, 2015
Pros: Its location, cleanliness and facilities.
Cons: Staff need to be trained to not enforce tipping and being proactive in helping without any expectations.
Location: It's very close to the pyramids of Gaza but the area is pretty dirty and busy (but so is all of cairo)
Hotel staff is courteous but you have to watch out very carefully. We had two deluxe rooms but they gave us classic rooms. I had to insist and argue for almost five minutes before the checking clerk agreed to give us the deluxe rooms. Then it was another challenge to get the two rooms on the same floor. There are a lot of people running around willing to help with a smile but expect to be tipped.
