“Good view of the Pyramids”
overall satisfaction
“Room smell bad like a mold, food good, location good”
Giza definitely is not a clean city, can not find restaurants out of hotel. To visitar pramides is like to back 5000 years ago. From the hotel swiming pool you can drink a cold beer looking at the piramides. Unique sensation. Reommend to take a limousine airport, taxi out is old, bad condition and drivers don't speak english, only arabic.
“Hotel Mercure Gisa”
Is a five star hotel even by USA standards. Located close to pyramids. My room was facing main street, traffic a bit noisy but not sure any hotel in Giza is free from noise. I would stay at this hotel again.
“Great pool, good breakfast, good internet, walking distance of pyramids if you dare to cross the road”
We had 2 adjoined rooms (door between the rooms could open), which was nice for the kids. Beds were great. Internet works great, although only free in the (very large) reception area. Cool that you can see the pyramids from the backyard. You can walk there, but it requires crossing a busy road that egyptians cross with their eyes closed, but for others it requires a leap of faith. Pool is good, has a 3m deep part, beds, towels, umbrella's. Breakfast is good, both warm and cold selections. Reception staff very friendly and helpfull, except bellman tried to sell us "guided tour" when we arrived at 3am at night which was a bit out of place.
“Fair value for the price”
Hotel was not a bad value for the money and location. Would not mind going back.
“Very nice for the price”
The hotel was overall great we payed only a three star rate and breakfast was included which worked out so well. My only caution is that as some people may know that a five star rating in places like this are really equivalent to a three star standard in the US, and this was the case at Le murcure. The hotel was dated but very very pleasant. The grounds were very very well kept and the breakfast was great. There isn't much to do imediatley adjacent to the hotel other than the pyramids, which is a great view, and easy to get to. Howeve, if you are staying more than a few days you may want to look into staying a few days here and a few closer to one of the downtown areas. I recomend this hotel if you dont mind a few brass fixtures and if the price is right for your budget then go for it!!!
“incredible hotel”
first of all I'll knock out the 'cons' first: -hotel is a bit older but still holds it's own against other 'resorts' -miss a important wake-up call i requested almost miss a flight(their excuse was my phone was off the hook; what, you couldn't send someone up??). Pros: great loactaion, you can see the pyramids from the hotel lawn, swimming pool, rooftop dining -great tour guides provided, will take you around town or to the pyramids for about $30 USD ea outing -ammenities are out of this world: pool, sauna, balcony attached to room, rec room, weight room (you can view the underground pool from the wt room:) -great food -FREE wifi in the lobby and surrounding area (but not poolside)
“Wouldn't Hesitate.”
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were accommodating, informative and very cooperative. The room was clean and a nice size. The outside patio was great to sit and look at the Pyramids. While driving through the surrounding areas we were quite concerned about what the hotel would be like. Boy were we pleasantly surprised. The hotel was like an oasis. We loved it. The only thing wrong we found about the hotel was that the main/buffet restaurant was only open for dinner when a tour was staying at the hotel. Otherwise, great experience. The hotel had a desk where you could book tours and/or hire a driver for the day, or your entire stay. We utilized those services and never regretted it. Don't hesitate to stay at the Mercure Cairo Le Sphinx.
“Very suitable, for my need!”
I 'm from Cairo but I spent a day between two flights and decided to choose this hotel for nothing but having a good night sleep, use the pool, spa and food! I just loved the rooms, it topped off some Hiltons and Iberotels to me. Very clean, comfortable and a good, simple interior design as well; they show they care. I did not like the breakfast buffet though. It is totally recommended if you aren't bugged by the fact that it does not overview the Nile.
“Good place and good price”
Everything was ok, the personnel was friendly and professional. We got there 12 hours before our reserved. Since there was not a room available for us at that moment (3 am) they allowas to stay in the lobby and they provided us a free breakfast. We went there without a tour package and they gave us all the info and help that we requested for: they provied us the contacts and the names of the places where we should go. The food, the place, every thing was good. It might not be the newest hotel in Cairo, but the facilities were clean and nice.
