“Ok only if lay over for a night”

Breakfast is good, Convenient location, hotel rep.pick up from gate and take you through their immigation, room is very old and carpet seemed like had not been cleanned in ages.

“Comically bad”

Our stay at the NovoHell began with three calls from the airport terminal for the hotel shuttle; after waiting thirty minutes we gave up and took a taxi. With a evening arrival and an early morning flight to catch my wife and son and I just wanted to get to sleep. Upon check-in they gave us the key to one room and told us they were getting the key to the second room right away. After a twenty minute wait we got the second room key which turned out to have someone else already asleep in the room. We decided to cram all three of us in the first room and my wife went downstairs to tell them about the occupant of the second room. Half an hour later we were awoken by the front desk calling to say that the second room was ready. Not interested. We asked for a 4:00 AM wakeup call but were quite surprised to get a wakeup call at 1:00 AM. Hard to believe this is a 4 star hotel based on the lousy overall condition of the hotel, the rock-hard beds, paper-thin towels and terrible service. We were thrilled to leave the hotel knowing we would never have to stay here again.

“Novotel OK if you need an easy return to the airport for a morning flight”

The Novotel was reasonably clean for a hotel in a third world country. The pickup service was very helpful, and the shuttle service back to the airport the next morning was acceptable. It is a bit pricey for Egypt, but the location and convenience made up for it. If you are just staying the night, need a fairly "hassle free" hotel, and don't mind paying twice what you would in town for that, the Novotel is quite acceptable.

“Shuttle Service is Provided”

The room was fine. However, the hotel needs to inform their guests that they offer airport shuttle service. There is a very unethical taxi desk in the lobby that tried to charge me 60 Egyptian pounds to take my wife and I to the airport the morning we left. Only at the last second did someone at the front desk tell us that there was complimentary shuttle service.

“Best location if you need to catch a flight!”

If you need to catch a flight, particularly a morning one, then you need to stay close to the airport as traffic is extremely congested (traveling from downtown to the airport can easily take 1.5 to 2 hours). Novotel Cairo Airport hotel is less than 10 minutes away from the airport, a perfect choice for our 9 am departure!

“Good location close to airport for early flights. Basic hotel.”

Novotel Cairo Airport is a basic hotel that is close to the airport. It is excellent for early departures since it has a shuttle. Rooms are adequate and reasonably clean. The "non-smoking" room smelled of cigarettes. Food is poor. Staff is competent.

Area recommendations

To see Cairo, stay downtown. For airport convenience, stay as close to the airport as possible, e.g., the Novotel.

“Great welcome service”

They will meet you at the airport and bring you to their hotel. They have a person with a sign with your name. It is a great service when arriving to a foreign country. The service at the hotel was very good and the hotel is quite clean.
