There are very few places to stay in Cairo. The Quality Inn is pretty good considering that the town is not in good shape. The room was large, quiet and clean but aging. The receptionists were very friendly and helpful. The property is convenient for a visit to Fort Defiance. We were satisfied with this stay.

Not happy with this location
We were travelling through and chose Quality Inn from a 3rd party. This is not a good hotel, there are so many updates that are needed. I did not feel safe and was concerned most of the night. The room was not clean, we found sticky substances on the desk, floor and walls. The entire facility needs updating NOW. It feels abandoned though there was a nice manager attending, but I did not feel safe nor clean after staying there. The tub in the bathroom looks as though it will fall apart any minute. I would tell someone do not stay here. Management needs to clean this up very soon or close the entire place now.

The stairway to the second floor is on the exterior with black steps, no lighting, and a small landing for luggage. The AC just inside the building from the landing has a loud whining sound and does not cool the hallway. The tub is in rough shape and the room needs a deep clean.

Room was a little small. The bathroom tub had paint flaking off the tub. My 7 year old was scared to take a shower because it was so bad. You could barely get in the bathroom without shutting the door. When we checked into a different hotel the following night she said I hope we’re not staying in that nasty hotel

There was no breakfast available when we went at 8:15. No coffee available. Coffee pot in our room was dirty and would not work. Bathroom was in terrible condition. Hotel needs to be shut down or extensive makeover should occur. No pool

I always like to stay off the beat and path. Generally speaking it’s quite a bit quieter and calmer. This hotel was older obviously. It had one of those old heat lamps in the bathroom from the 1970’s. Brought a blast from the past. It was very clean which is most important to me. It did have usb ports for charging. I have portable ones tha I always take not every place has them. It was quiet and comfortable. Not too much room sanitizer.

The first room I was given was dirty, and looked like it had not been cleaned at all. There was food on the floor. The tub had been painted and the paint was chipping. The lady at the front desk was very nice. I explain to her about how my room was, she walked with me back to the room and looked at it and said she would give me another room. The next room that she gave me was much better than the first one. It was clean. The paint in the tub was still chipping a little, but not as bad as in the other room. I was there for two days and overall It was quite comfortable. You can’t beat it for the price and the convenience. It’s right off the interstate. I would probably stay there again.

Outdoor steps
The outside steel steps to get up to my 2nd floor room was my only complaint. Everything was clean and super nice. The outdoor steps were very inconvenient.

Not the friendliest check in I’ve had (I felt like I was a suspect for something that had happened recently. A smile to know you’re appreciated would go a long way. Perhaps this is the only thing in town so you get what you get?

This place needs an overhaul. The ceiling had a huge hole above the shower. Toilet was not working. Paint peeling off the walls and shower. Just dingy and musty smelling.

The fridge had a leftover container in it. We asked to have a room on the parking lot side so we could watch our vehicle and we were told no. The police told us they have had some break ins. Also the outside roof appears to be coming apart.

Room was in very poor condition. Carpet was sticky, couch in room was heavily stained, bathtub was chipped or in very rough shape. Seemed to be the only ones in the hotel that night, parking didn’t feel secure.

surrounding the hotel was a lot of abandoned property and buildings, a bit uncomfortable but hotel property was kept. staff very friendly and helpful, rooms are aged but everything in working order

Not going back to that particular quality inn.
There is absolutely no place to eat close to this hotel. I could not get cell service, my iphone died overnight searching. The tub/toilet room was barely able for us to go in and close the door. The shower head and water pressure was great though. The firmness of the bed was GREAT. After a whole day of driving, we wanted to watch some TV and chill...We could only get PBS and 2 other channels. I called the front desk (Indian) he just told me they have issues with cable there!?! And he asked if I changed the channel!?! Should be called "Mediocre Inn".
