Not a HIlton standard

Posted Oct 13, 2014
This was my first visit to cairo, stayed in ramses hilton for 2 nights, honestly the hotel is a 3 star property. Old furniture's in the room, for every basics like water, dental kit, sleepers and many more, we had to call the operator, no complimentary water, a small bottle merely 1 liter will cost 35 pounds if u order from room service. The front office manager miss manal was good to acknowledge on various occasion. Otherwise truly unsatisfactory hilton standard

crowded hotel

Posted Aug 7, 2014
Pros: food was good but way over priced
Cons: everything needs improvement
Location: the location is great and at the heart of Cairo, but good luck sleeping at night.
at check in the staff were great but at check out the staff were rude trying to add many charges without any rights. it is a crowded hotel and people smoke everywhere, our room was in the 14th floor and we could not sleep well at night because the street noise. the food was great at the hotel but very expensive, also there no coffee station in the room. I will never go back again to this hotel.

Very pretty and elegant Hotel

Pros: Close to the museum
Cons: The prices of the food are ridiculous.
Location: Cairo Museum one minute walk
The hotel is beautiful and save. It has a Mall in front of that came out very handy. The beds are supper comfortable so is the AC, very needed in Egypt. One minute walk to the Egyptian museum and tons of cheap taxis in front of the Hotel. Very nice.

The bathrooms are filthy. The drain in clogged in the tubs so you are basically swimming in bath water. Unhelpful front desk. Horrible experience overall. I would equate this hotel to a low end motel. I'm not sure why people have rated this place so highly. They must have extremely low expectations.

Booked a city facing room but given a Nile facing room.......very noisy....next night moved to city facing room but smaller than one booked ......to make up given an executive room much higher up and quieter......asked for twin beds got one king size that possibly due to language .......staff very very apologetic and wonderfully helpful. Food in restaurant for breakfast and in the evening very good...super view over Nile

hotel close to downtown Cairo

Location: Don't bother with the soulless mall. Coffeeshop/shisha opposite is a must. Rickety, and no one speaks much English, but you can watch Cairo go by...
really great. The rooms are a little bit old fashioned when compared to a European equivalent, but they're perfectly fine. Well soundproofed (which is essential), clean, spacious. The communal areas and facilities in the hotel are lovely - beautiful airy cafe/bar downstairs, the pool, and the gym. The staff are great as well - friendly and helpful, and no sense they're doing it for any other reason than to do a good job. We had a wonderful holiday and it's due in no small part to the hotel. We paid nowhere near full price though, with a package. I have no idea what full price is or whether I would have thought it was high or low.

Was comfortable, staff is very professional, helpful and understanding. Food options are very many. Location is somewhat odd but Nile river side rooms are very enjoyable for stay.

I loved the location of this hotel - it';s so central and the views from the top floors are stunning.
